My spidey senses tell me you’re a public school dad desperate to attack relevancy to public schools that don’t deserve it…nice try, enjoy your son playing at the next level for Eastern U ! Pretty defensive. The guy made an observation about the pro/anti Malvern posters and the GA coach tirade. Then he listed the best PIAA teams. How angry are you to attack his son? We get it, the interac is very good. No need to garbage every other team.

Glad someone said a while back HG had the best offense in section 1.....2 goals against FL, WOW. And now they have Bronxville tonight and John Jay tomorrow - 2 of the best goalies in Section 1 on little rest. Who let that schedule happen. Looking ahead they'll be lucky to come out of the next two weeks with 2 wins

How many 29s get invited to play in the All LI game 48? Last year was 48 ish I believe, this year is around 106 players is what I counted. Event has lost all merit and is now solely about bringing in the $$$$. this event absolutely never had any merit Agreed. I assume Wink got complaints about almost all the girls being on 91 or YJ A and decided to make two more teams. Cha - ching.

Do you mean that they are adding players from other teams for certain games? I only ask because I’ve watched them play a few times and one time in particular they looked like a much different team than I saw playing the week before the players even look different.

So will Mercy and Mt De Sales get moved down to B conference. Lots talking about bottom 2 automatic move. What will they do if GCS and Garrison don’t have varsity teams. A 10 team A conference would be really good. Lots not talking Did GFS even survive against Mercy? GFS 15-8 over Mercy. They had a lot of talented girls on offense which is why they scored a lot of goals. All but one of those girls is a senior. So, I’m not sure how they will improve in the A conference without a JV and half the team graduating. They will not survive in the A conference. They barely survived in A this year with all of the talent they had. Only two of the 11 girls returning next year played a significant amount of time this year. 3 of the 11 are goalies. All others stood on the sidelines for the last year +. Coaches told a few of the girls there are only 2 incoming freshman, which leaves a team of 13 plus whoever else decides they want to be a lacrosse player for a season. This is not true. I know for a fact there are 7 coming in from other places not to mention anyone coming from the middle school. If some of the girls at McD, Maryvale, St Pauls etc who are on JV now may never see varsity (regardless of how good they are) they should consider looking at schools like GFS and/or GCS where they can get excellent opportunities to contribute to the lacrosse programs. The AD is actively emailing students at other schools now along with trying to get her daughter to bring RPCS kids over. I guess this isn’t a violation and it’s a team not a program. GFS is a sinking ship. Nobody trying to jump on. Those 7 will reconsider when they see GFS in B with zero returning starters

1. Location is horrible for the majority of teams. 2. No parking. And it is one way in and out, making it take forever to exit/enter 3. Due to lack of parking, you have to find a strip of grass to park on 1/2 mile down the road 4. No room for spectators 5. No room for tents 6. Outhouses are minimal and in terrible locations. In front of a narrow sidewalk in the parking lot? 7. Can't tell where the lines are on the field.
Agree the amount of fields are nice. But that's the only thing it has going for it. Can't imagine a tournament there. I hope NGLL takes all these issues into consideration for next year. But I'm guessing they got a sweetheart deal to use Copperplex as their primary location.

What is more interesting: a) That 91MD as a program has 3 wins against 20 loses so far this season; with an average loss by 8.7 goals (this is across all HoCo age groups); or... b) That this marks 91MD's best metrics as a program over the past three years?
It's so interesting to me how much money Millon has been able to make on the back of this consistent business model. One of biggest reason MM focused on his sons teams and them. Gotta give MM credit, one of the more disliked people in lacrosse community, yet had his son as the number 1 recruit, talked about constantly and now starting at UVA all the while making a pile of money off the dreamers of lacrosse who fall by the wayside thinking they will end up like his son. . I can't even begin to tell you HOW SPOT ON THIS IS - HAHAHAHAHA!!!

And LB left their “Star” attackman in the game until the middle of the 4th quarter so he could pad his stats!! Definitely daddy’s influence over the OC. Lots of bad apples on the sidelines at Blakefield. You have the worst daddy of them all still on JV! Wait til next year!!!! This is LB, We showcase our stars ! Sorry your son cant compete with the Varsity stars, And I know that JV player, He will have an impact and play next year. Go Dons ! LB showcases who the HC and donors decided should be the starters last September. The only problem with that is that the % of talent left on the bench during the season would probably make the difference between losing in the 1st round of the MIAA playoffs and losing toward the end of playoffs. And LB parents truly can't help themselves. Running off Rubeor after 3 years...an LB alum, no less. Then Ubriaco bent over backwards for the parents and donors and left untold talent on the bench in a somewhat humiliating 4 year run at LB. Haus will be run off by 2027 as well, and once the parents & donors have Ford in place, they will run him off too, by 2030. At which point it will be 17 years since the Dons won the MIAA. Every year, Loyola has sufficient talent to make a run at MIAA semi-finals at least. Players from the best clubs in MD and PA bus in to the school every day. Yet the school seems complacent to achieve less. To LB's credit, it's embarrassing that even in that who-cares-complacency and total distraction, they can dunk a nearly 20 point win on John Carroll.

Tbh igloo and rebels don’t have much talent at this age. They have survived with a couple kids who were good at the younger ages. The development isn’t there so they haven’t gotten better. Same old story with both programs. It will become clear to the parents this year when they struggle in June.

For sure! The player is what is recruited, not the club (or at least that's what we hope!). I'm just trying to understand what kind of support there is for players who opt to go through the process, and the experience of the club to support players through it.

Love seeing UVA knock out UNC from ACC tournament - well deserved. Tired of hearing that UNC is a "young tem" - they are far from a "yound team" - UVA freshmen stepping up big time. Hope to see a win against Cuse.

One win for the six teams that participate in the HOCO league. Great job Mark in grifting people’s money from them looking to play for an Elite Squad. Do us all a favor and drop down to AAA Nice to see nothing has changed here - consistency counts. I don’t think their benchmark 2023 team ever won more than 1 game a year in HoCO either

Many deserving kids on that list and a handful of questionable, to put it nicely.
A few wouldn’t start on any AA team on Long Island They all deserve it, they paid the money. It's best players from the region. Not everyone gets invited and not every deserving kid is able to play. But overall it's top players competing against each other. Completely incorrect!!! Look at some of the names. Good players but not the upper echelon. You must be a parent of one of them. Living through their good player that they think is an all star. Keep paying the tuition to support my son please. If your son team is not playing against the best in the country and competing you don’t deserve to be on the list. A lot of kids on the list are not playing at a high level. You are just like all the World Series haters. Sorry your son wasn't selected. The kids who are rank among top players. Just let them play without trying to ruin a fun, competitive youth lacrosse experience. $350 and no tryouts. If your in the in crowd good for you but don’t think it’s the best players selected.

Island Trees boys lacrosse's Kian McCoy scores five goals in win over Hewlett
TheBackOfTheCage
You can’t blink when you’re defending Kian McCoy. However, since it’s impossible to stare for all 48 minutes of game time, all opponents can hope to do is contain him. The senior was a blur Friday afternoon for host Island Trees, tallying five goals and an assist in an 11-7 win over Hewlett in Nassau Conference C/D. Coming off an 9-8 overtime loss on Tuesday against Bethpage, Island Trees found itself trailing by one against Hewlett in the second quarter after initially leading 3-0. “It’s kind of like boxers; they get clipped a couple times and they started throwing haymakers all over the place,” Island Trees coach Brendan Keesee said. “You have to stick to the game plan.” Sure enough, Island Trees responded with five unanswered goals. Senior attack JC Echezuria (two goals, three assists) displayed incredible vision with a nifty behind-the-back pass off of a give-and-go with McCoy for Island Trees’ sixth goal. Keesee supported Echezuria's flair, adding that “it’s one more weapon to have in the toolbox.” “If I see the field and I see gaps, I trust my teammates to find me open,” McCoy added. Hewlett (7-3) did not score again until the final two minutes, tallying three goals. Cristopher Maiorano (three goals, two assists) accounted for two of them. Island Trees' long-stick midfielder Joe Mainente forced seven turnovers, had six ground balls and also tallied a goal and three assists. Fellow midfielder Joe Filocamo provided a similar two-way toughness, adding three assists in the win. “Coming after a tough loss a few days ago, it’s just great to see everyone bond together, itching to get a [win],” Mainente said. Mainente also went 4-for-9 on faceoffs against Hewlett's points leader Luke Rochler, who went 18-for-22 faceoffs. Luke Forde usually holds that role for Island Trees, but he hasn’t played since April 5 due to injury. Keesee said having a long pole like Mainente on faceoffs allows for a quick defensive transition if he misses the early clamp. Island Trees (5-4) has been through a gauntlet. Three of its losses came by just one score, with two coming in overtime. But Friday’s win was an important reminder of just how good this team can be when the ball bounces the right way. “We grew up together, playing this sport together,” McCoy said. “It starts to show when it really matters.” By Michael Sicoli michael.sicoli@newsday.com Sponsored by www.CBLaxers.com

Re: Girl's 2027 Grades - Mid Atlantic Region

I think it’s what the girls make of it. Those that are playing JV rather than riding the V bench are getting plenty of PT. Those riding the Varsity bench are getting to practice with older girls and still develop. Those playing Varsity are getting to best of both. My daughter is loving her Freshman year and says plenty of her Club teammates are having just as amazing season with many different schools. She is excited for Summer Club but definitely sad to see her first of four HS years come to an end shortly. Sorry to hear not all are having the good experiences others are having this year. I can personally attest all of my daughter’s teammates have been great as have the other parents & coaches on both JV and Varsity.
