3step BPG True all of these big corporate brands are ruining youth lacrosse. Convincing a bunch of well off parents to invests tens of thousands in their kids so they can one day get benched by the first coach their dad can’t call and complain to. what is ruining lacrosse the idea that you can play for multiple teams. National teams vs local teams. Soccer you are allowed one primary and can petition for a secondary. parents throw the money around there and extra training. corporate brands charge no more than a team ten or mesa to be on the team. starting club before middle school or even high school is ruining all sports.

Re: Boys 2028-9th Grade Fall 2024/Summer 2025

If your son is a freshman and isn't playing varsity he's probably not a serious player or prospect. Sorry. Completely moronic statement. Sorry you son couldnt cut it. Elite is elite, Iron Sharpens iron. He is right , if you are that good in a outlier sport like lacrosse and you are not on Varsity in 9th grade. Well, lacrosse abd D1 wont be in the future. Enough of the BB, Football sports. Those are in a different arena.

Ha, anyone who reads this knows that MG doesn’t waste time on this site or doesn’t know how the internet works. Ironically everyone knows that BR spends all day here trying to stroke his ego. Have a great day Brian! You are very mistaken if you don’t think she reads this forum.

Re: MD Girls 2028

Anyone have any insight regarding the summer invite only events (BIC, JO, UA 150)? Specifically if they are “full” or when they typically become full. I see UA continues to say registration deadline with a new date. Are they really still taking girls that apply for the first time now? Conversely if someone applied and didn’t make the “wave” soon after do they still have a chance? Same for JO and BIC. Any insight would be appreciated. Honestly none of these camps really matter and only increase chances for injury after a long spring and summer season. Let your daughter rest and enjoy being 15, it won't impact her recruiting at all especially if she plays for a big time club with good recruiting coordinator I will say I don't think most players/parents have this opinion as the majority of the girls that participate in these events are from big time clubs with a good history of recruiting. I think at this point BIC and JO are pretty much done. I am not sure if this is typical of UA 150 to keep putting out wave after wave or if they are struggling to fill the spots with good players. A significant factor for many girls from top clubs is FOMO rather than any actual benefit of being noticed, which is unlikely outside of a recruiting years. You do get the chance to play with other good players, but often it's good players playing bad lacrosse in an effort to stand out. Obviously, this is not the case for ALL, but it certainly is for some. And by the way, no judgement, of course parents want their child to be included and do not want to see the pain it causes for them NOT to be invited come June when all of their teammates and friends are posting themselves at the event all over social media. It's a life lesson moment, but @ChillLaxin just the same.
