Playing for a top club has its advantages but the key word is “playing’.There’s zero advantage to watching him on the sideline, hoping he’ll get in, but they keep running the same kids out there. Maybe you held your kid back to improve his shot (seems to be a trend with NLF clubs) - good luck w/ that. Any advantage will disappear by 10th grade. Chasing a Brand gets you no shortcut. Once they reach HS, it’s mostly on the individual athlete and those parents who bounced between Brands only alienate and burn them out more.
