So true. Back a few years ago, I knew a kid that didn’t make either of the Team 91 A or B teams. He ended up on the Express B team. This was during the MS years. Stayed with that B team through HS. Long story short, that kid was the Suffolk County Midi of the Year his senior year and an All American. Not bad for a B team player!

There is B players and kids that are in between. All the in betweeners want that elite AA team. Usually the kid can hang with the team in practice, but can’t get playing time. That is okay. Go find a good team A or B with solid players and good coaching and you’ll enjoy these next 4 years, and so will your son. It’s actually the best path to the AA teams. But likely, by that time, you’ll be happy right where you are.
