Lomo is a top coach and has better players, Janelli's team is a more casual travel lacrosse experience which works for a lot of people. But let's not stir up a bunch of controversy over a B team beating a C team.

You do realize Lomo’s team won by a braveheart right? Janelli’s team led the entire game and the actual game ended in a tie.

4-4, and then Lomo took the braveheart. Bravehearts are a cop-out used by tournaments too cheap to allocate time for OT. They stink and mean nothing. Not a Janelli parent either. I just think Bravehearts are notIntelligent. Do OT and have enough time between games for it instead of trying to cram in one extra game per day per field for the tournament to load its pockets.

Lomo coaches to win , Janelli coaches to not upset bench players parents . If the starters where left in the game it would have been over in the first 10 minutes .

really? we joined YJ because we thought all teams were play to win. and Janelli left my daughter in well over most of the game as a starting middy.

No tryouts, but CR will still jam an unworthy player or two onto a roster that is supposed to be autonomous thus weakening the team, bloating the roster and lining her pockets. Send those players to the C team, not the B team and create a D team if you need to bump girls down. More teams, smaller rosters will make everyone happy and CR can earn her $ but please stop diluting a team with weaker players and inflating the roster. Lomo may want to coach to win, but...

Is the 91 2025 Team really folding?
Weren't they ranked in the top 10 at the start of the year? Saw some bad losses from the fall and summer schedule so something must have changed.
Is a team issue or is the organization just dropping the girls program as a whole, I don't even see tryout information posted.

Weren't they ranked in the top 10 at the start of the year? Saw some bad losses from the fall and summer schedule so something must have changed.
Is a team issue or is the organization just dropping the girls program as a whole, I don't even see tryout information posted. is a very good team that would be unfortunate

What happened to where they can barely squeak by Empire and they get routed by Garden City. They were the best team after Spalina last year, crazy.

91 orange is a solid team. I’ve watched them play because I have a friend with a kid in the team who is happy. I don’t have 2025 and I detest 91 as an organization so you can consider this an unbiased opinion.

Who beat them in an actual tournament or event besides Spalina? Are you talking about controlled scrimmages? You're not talking about YJ Jabroni I hope. He stole all 91s good players and still can't be Lomo.

It's amazing that Carol Rose lets this go on . I don't think he could win with the Spallina team. The problems with that coaching staff are to long to list.

The last scrimmage when the 91 coaches were sick of hearing the Lomo garbage they ran them of the field . It was 9-1 when they called off off the dogs letting Lomo get a few goals against second team.

Every parent on the team and the coaches know exactly who you are. I'm surprised Carol Rose lets you go on quite honestly. Speaking of Spalina, you should have gotten that message two years ago, but the fall from grace couldn't possibly be your fault, so you rip the coach who is a really good guy. If you are that unhappy just leave, now is the time to act and there are plenty of options out there.

YJ Janelli GCT and maybe Empire should move higher in front of 91/Jesters, based on summer league. 91/Jesters, combined for a reason this year but those teams fell apart for a reason too. Not sure if they solved their issues just by joining teams, so they should drop for those reasons

Make it inexpensive but demanding. Coach them up and cut none for the first few years. Play lots either as scrimmages or tournaments... then pick the best and have a great team.

Right, he only cares about the 29s because his daughter is on that team. He had a highly ranked 2025 team last year that dissolved because of lack of support in the organization.
Just proves 91 used the girls side to to cover some overhead for their boys teams. It’s pretty insulting when the only girls team they put an effort into with the “machine model” is the owner’s daughter’s team.
Years ago they defended JS going YJs to stay tight with CR for recruiting purposes, but apparently he just knew better.
“Just wait for the 29’s” What about every other family they bilked money from over the years with daddy ball coaches running glorified PAL teams, or over their head college kids coaching.
There is a reason why YJs & TGs are successful, their focus is clear.

Just a money grab. Think about it.....when the owners of Team 91 don't even let their own daughters play there, There's a reason. Run away fast! JS is not an owner. Watch out for the team BS is gathering using the machine model. Who cares if JS is an owner or not He coaches all his sons and has them play for 91. Yet he coaches his daughter for a different club. If that doesn’t say what he thinks about the 91 girls program, I don’t know what does Exactly! He wouldn’t let his girls anywhere near that program because he knows they stink!

Let’s see where the 91 program goes. Last year they completely changed the training to match the boys. The 2030 team will have strong coaching too. Past is the past let’s see if they put the effort in they say they are going to. Can’t revamp entire thing in a year. Building from the younger grades is smart

This is a 2025 forum jack wagon, the point is he screwed every other girls team in the program throughout the years, but is now starting to make it right with own daughter’s team. Massapequa PAL daddy ball is one thing, but a daddy ball GM Is another. But I guess everyone is ok with thiis?
Enjoy your two practices a week and playing in all those crappy MLT events while it lasts. It will only be a matter of time before he grabs his daughter and her friends and brings them to CR.

In a different part of the country, but it caused my daughter to be put on JV her freshman year when she clearly should have been on Varsity. She made the decision to move clubs knowing that was a risk, but it was worth it to her to have a better coaching and teammates on the club team.

depends on the coach and your relationship with him/her. Did you have a conversation with the coach before you left or just disappeared in the night and texted the coach when you left? If you were a big boy/girl and talked with the coach beforehand I would imagine it would've helped and you'd already know the answer.

No disrespect to those who communicate anonymously or work in the shadows complaining incessantly, but I'm going to do things a little differently here. I believe I may be the "selfish" parent in question so I'm going to answer a few of the questions posed, so hopefully all parties can move on. This is the very definition of a pickup team and here is the backstory: I was approached a couple of weeks ago by a friend whose daughter played with mine on another club team a few years back who asked if we wanted play on a team in the junior high division with a bunch of our former teammates and some girls from their town. Where our club team was playing in the JV division and it sounded like a fun opportunity to reconnect with some friends so I said yes. At the onset myself and the others invited from our club team made it very clear that the club team came first and that's where we would play if a conflict arose. Where this all happened fairly close to the start of the season I was also asked if we could use the jerseys I had purchased years ago for a pickup team we occasionally enter in side tournaments to have fun and hang with friends. I agreed with the stipulation that I could invite the daughter of a friend I run that pickup team with as it didn't feel right to play under that name without them. This is the only roster discretion I had so if you are offended or jealous that you weren't asked then I'm not sure what to tell you. I also agreed to help coach the team because it also seemed like fun. Lastly, our club coach 100% knew we were playing in another game right before our scheduled club game, so there is no story or contention there either. Now for the sentiment that the girls who played in both games were tired and that's why the team didn't win, well that feels more like conjecture based on the game I watched, but you are 100% entitled to your opinion on that. And for context it was only 5 of the 26 girls on the roster who played in the earlier game so it seems the impact is being likely exaggerated. I will be at practice tonight if anyone wants to discuss it with me further.

Um, I don't think the Lomo coach wrote the above, if so why would she denigrate her own team? Also, the author of this quote seems to be confused and manages to insult both Jamelli and Lomo in the same post. My question is if the two teams are on different paths with Lomo getting better, as is stated, how do you explain the fact that Lomo had won the last three meetings but tied in their most recent matchup? My child left her club team spring of 8th grade three years ago. It was the best decision for our family & she left knowing there would be retaliation down the road. You don't owe anyone an explanation. You made the decision knowing risks, did so anyway, IMO that speaks volumes and takes courage. Its a shame children have to take into consideration being "punished" when considering leaving a team and in a perfect world grown butt adults wouldn't take that personal. Its lacrosse & unfortunately we have our share of crazy parents and crazier coaches. I wish we would've trusted our instincts sooner but I assure you it's best decision we ever made. Besides its common knowledge your kid could ride bench in HS & it likely wouldn't make a difference being recruited. Best of luck to your child

Unfortunately these decisions and choices of exposure have ramifications beyond ones own health. Though our daughters of this age and us in a general range of age as their parents are within a low risk segment, all can still be asymptomatic carriers whose probability of infection increase in the tournament environment that we all then bring back to our bubbles and potentially expose loved ones in our circles who are part of the higher risk segment of the population and for them this thing is the grim reaper. I'm no snowflake but individual behavior does not isolate consequences to just that individual, it instantly turns into a communal risk and danger. Wear a mask, get tested and don't put others at risk. There is no cure... The mask is to protect others as much as to protect yourself. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming of vilifying Spallina, bashing lomo, janulli and the defunct 91 guido...

Tribe. Not a club team. Not YJ, not Jesters, not Elevate, not Legacy. The roster has girls from each of those teams including 3 2025s and the rest 2024s. These girls have known each other for years of playing with/against each other on Long Island. Yes, the coach is the director of Jesters. But the girls have trained with her well before she became the director of Jesters. Tribe was assembled in the summer when the pandemic was shutting down all tournaments, and the LIJLL put together the summer league. Tribe entered as a way to keep the girls playing completive lacrosse while having fun with each other. Jesters did not exclude any of their players - this is not a Jesters team. The YJ players on Tribe will stay with YJ, the Legacy players will stay with Legacy, the Elevate players will stay with Elevate and the Jesters players will stay with Jesters. The coach of Tribe (i.e., the Jesters director) is not trying to recruit the girls away from their current club teams. She has been training these girls outside of Tribe for years, and this is just an extension of that. As someone stated earlier, it is a pick up team with girls from all over Long Island who are friends and who just want to get some extra playing in. Pretty simple.

In one these case those families have done nothing but ruined the team culture from the moment they arrived. The kids are overrated and not worth the hassle.

I heard the Tribe is looking for someone to run their C Team. May want to want to keep your options open once the BOSS really finds out what’s going on over there. Not nice! Why are you a skewering a lower level team coach because your kids aren’t A Team players? When does it become you and your kids fault? Your kids have below average stick skills and have never beat a good team team, but it’s now the coaches fault?

Lol. First Lomo beats TG by 2 when TG had all their top girls; now friday Janelli will beat them as well. So basically if TG and YJ merged the 2025 group then TG/YJ would be the D team. For now we can just say you are the 4th best team on long island behind YJ, YJ, and another YJ.

Schedule has been great and everyone playing tight games. That’s all you want in a league.....last week TG tied Ramos the 2024 B team and this week they lost to the 2025 B team. Ramos tied Tribe and Tribe smoked TG. They’re 13 and 14 year old kids. Good nights and bad nights.......you want to talk rankings....it’s spallina and everyone else. Spallina beats 2025 team by 15 goals. After that there’s probably 3-4 teams that could beat one another on any given night. Just relax and enjoy the ride.

Top Guns looked awful, now I know why the Smiths go to great lengths to hide them. On the the upside at least their parents are civilized unlike those Yellow Jacket half breeds who should hire Ubers to get their kids home safe after what I saw tonight.
Spalina has the only girls who can actually catch and throw in this grade. Are they that good, or are the just the best of the worst?

Definitely a rude awakening for TG this fall.....they always play in the toughest brackets down in Maryland so this will light a fire for sure. Lomo and Janelli outplayed them. No excuses. As far as the parent that wants a piece of spallina. Be careful what you wish for. Different animal. You mentioned why they don’t play anyone, it’s bc they’re playing HS teams. Sometimes you just have to give teams credit. They are the best 2025 team in the country.

JS did the same thing the the Bandits when they turned out to not be the "Superstar" team he was marketing. Play weaker, older teams this way he could say they were "playing up" when in fact they were ducking on grade competition. The proof is when he couldn't get that done and the Bandits played top teams on-grade, the Bandits occasionally lost. The Bandits don't lose often and I don't think YJ would either but they will occasionally lose and then he'd have less to promote. Even the best teams have a bad day or a bad showing. With Crush, that never happened and JS would play anyone. It goes to show you when you dig through all the hype to the truth, buried all the way deep down, he's not incredibly confident in the team. Just like the Bandits. Are the YJ the best 2025 team on Long Island? Absolutely. Are they beatable? Absolutely.

Whatever and however they do it it seems to work. Think. our team within the same. club should follow the same path instead of these ridiculous make believe money grab tournaments

JS did the same thing the the Bandits when they turned out to not be the "Superstar" team he was marketing. Play weaker, older teams this way he could say they were "playing up" when in fact they were ducking on grade competition. The proof is when he couldn't get that done and the Bandits played top teams on-grade, the Bandits occasionally lost. The Bandits don't lose often and I don't think YJ would either but they will occasionally lose and then he'd have less to promote. Even the best teams have a bad day or a bad showing. With Crush, that never happened and JS would play anyone. It goes to show you when you dig through all the hype to the truth, buried all the way deep down, he's not incredibly confident in the team. Just like the Bandits. Are the YJ the best 2025 team on Long Island? Absolutely. Are they beatable? Absolutely. So this discussion made me look and Here is one thing I know about his teams they don't lose or have not in years. Looking on USclub lax neither team YJ or 91 has lost for a game for as long as they have records which is crazy. For a long time I wanted my daughter on his team seeing how they train and the model he has used that is obviously successful but she is in a place where her game can grow. and. around players closer to her calibur. Think the model they use of more practicing and less CR money grabs makes for better players and wish more. did.

Let’s at least be honest here Lomo can barely get by Janelli in fact they sometimes don’t So yes they don’t scrimmage lomo because A teams don’t play C teams. My daughter plays TG but you YJ dads need to come to grips that IF your kid was an A player they would be on A team instead of these epic battles with Janelli trying to see who the B team is and who the C team is So in a few years when college coaches start watching the B and C teams are on field 28 playing other B and C teams with D3 coaches watching. Hey your probably right your teams may be better than us but we’ll always be in top brackets as an A team w TG

Great point.....TG parent here. Janelli out played TG, deserved to win. Lomo not so much. Up 4-1 at half and coach made a personnel change and the momentum totally flipped. But you guys have bragging rights......would much rather go to Maryland and play the best teams in the country with TG.

Same TG parent here.....was much more impressed with Janelli than Lomo. I know they always play great games down to the wire and Lomo always wins, but From what I saw, Janelli was the better team. Lomo always wins. Janelli has better talent depth, but lacks the sack to upset his fanboys and risk having to pay for his own drinks in MD all summer. When we play him we always marvel at his curious personnel decisions allowing us to climb back into the game. Should be a big B vs. C showdown tomorrow night, but we all know how it always ends. Lomo has the coaching along with far superior goalie play, and Janelli is worrying about how not to lose rather than winning the game. Oh and to Top Guns, it doesn’t matter what bracket you are in or what coaches are watching your kids, if you can’t throw and catch it doesn’t really matter.

Yes, we are behind Spallina, as is the rest of the country, and they happen to be in our own organization, but beyond that pretty confident our girls will be competitive vs. any team they will play against in this age group from anywhere. Good team, good people, good coaching. Period. Clearly you are stunk into thinking this is your daughters college platform. Joke is on you then. Poor girl. If there are two cars at the game I can see her running for Mom's car after the game not to get stuck with you and your critique on the way back to the Great South Bay. Lighten up Francis!

TG had an awful fall, but their coach does the right thing. They played really sloppy but you guys got the W. Congrats......it’s just crazy how delusional you are. You are 100% correct! It's just the way you guys overrate yourselves. Great team for sure.....but to say TG stinks etc and to constantly rip Janelli is a little much. I would say if TG was that bad the score would be a little more lopsided. Win with a little class. If you beat an awful team by 2 goals that you had to comeback to beat, where does that put you guys?

Funny, two weeks ago 2G was the belle of the ball... No one on Lomo is saying they would beat Spallina. No one on Lomo is looking down their noses at Janelli, only at TG, 2g and Tribe... Can't wait for these ridiculous 10:00pm start games to be over with after tonight.

Should be a very good game tonight, but these two teams are just bitter for some reason instead of enjoying a healthy rivalry. I really believe it’s Spalina jealousy and C Team fear.
They fire shots at each other and try to stir trouble up with each other’s teams with fake posts which leave people pointing fingers at each other. You should all watch the Social Dilemma. It’s not very hard to impact thoughts and opinions with a few well placed pieces of BS that sheep take as gospel because they saw it on the internet.

Doesn't seem like Lomo parent wrote this given that there are two Lomo players on Tribe. No one who knows what Tribe is about is worried about Tribe, and certainly should not be "looking down their noses". It is just a tourney team put together to get girls more practice during really difficult times when their club teams were not able to attend tournaments. Tribe has girls from: YJ Wiener, Kildare, Ramos, Spallina, Lomo. Legacy 24, Elevate 24 Blue, and Jesters 24 Black. Silly that Tribe is even in this 25 thread, or any thread. They are not a town team or a club team. Just a great group of girls who want to play more who have a parents who are friends (yes, it IS possible for parents of girls the same age from different LI club teams to actually be friends), and who put this team together. Go back to enjoying your girls and watching them play.
