And CONTROL. Don't know about GC, but many HS coaches are seeing their significance in the recruiting process greatly deminished. With less of a strangle hold on the kids future, they feel like they lose control of the kid. Especially, the non-starters, who make up 75-80% of the team. A good lax player being recruited by colleges who never sees the field on his HS team is going to be less concerned what his HS coach has to
say. The only time these kids get to play is on club. Now, if the coach controls the summer too he holds all the cards for your kids future as it relates to lax and college. Hence, he now knows the kids will do ANYTHING he says.

Add to it, the coaches who penalize the kids who don't do all their off season work outs, camps, etc.



boy's have to laugh ..a good high school coach will always put the best kids on the the field..... it's high school lacrosse not mid school any more..i feel most parents would rather have professional educator looking after their son than a group just looking out for the money side of the business......



move over club lacrosse for aau lacrosse .....
