They were pretty good at wresting until the racist teachers drove off the Olympic caliber black wrestler that was going there.

Should maybe, but most top High School and College teams all have players one to three years older than their grade/year.

Just the way it is. MD has an attackman that is 24/25

In the MIAA you can’t be 19 until the start of school. There is no one who is 2+ years beyond their grade year.

Hilarious. Yes that is the rule, which is generally followed by having many one year holdbacks, but there have been 2 year holdbacks occasionally with no issues. There are multiple High Schools with prefirst then PG players,,,which makes them Two years older....College another story, holdback in HS, PG, Red shirt and you are 3 years off the bat in Freshman year.

In the MIAA it has only to do with age. You can be held back 5 times prior to starting HS as long as you don’t turn 19 until the beginning of school. Any “story” other than that is urban legend.

Definetly not an “Urban Legend” I work in athletics in the MIAA and we have DQ’d some transfers in multiple sports because they are overage and end up playing against them that season.

When you enroll, at least in the two schools I have worked in parents supply the birthdate of the child. No ID or birth certificate is required. You can put any age you want when you enroll. Proof of age is NOT sent to the MIAA. You are just certifying that they are eligible.

If you work in the MIAA and you went ahead and played against kids that you knew were DQ’d on you.

What was the school that played with DQs?

A lot of people do it across many sports. Some get waivers too. There was a high profile lacrosse player awhile back whose school petitioned that he was born a month early and if he hadn’t been premature he would have been 18, not 19 when school started. He won. Now he was a high academic kid who reclassed after 8th grade too making the original defense silly.

Don’t spend time wondering how they make the sausage, just enjoy it

Awful school for sports and ridiculously overpriced.

Name and school? If you can’t provide that these are just “Bigfoot” stories.
