That is becoming common place for the True Blue team, they can't handle pressure situations.

I think there was a small window, of this afternoon where the insane turtle guardian was not on here hyping his team. Now we know where he was, he was getting the Inside Lacrosse story worked in! Also, why didn't Inside Lacrosse post ALL the winners from ALL age brackets???? Kinda strange.

Yes!! And he was the second shooter behind the grassy knoll as well!
IL probably only published these results based on their unique stats in addition to bein the first team to ever repeat as national champions.

Lie?

Please, take a moment to pick up your webster's dictionary (you do know what that is, yes?) and familiarize yourself with that difficult definition and its proper usage.

additionally; it may behoove you to review the definitions and connotations of the term, " self deception"; as in: you're little Johnny is not ever going to be on a championship NCAA Div 1,2 or 3 team, nor is he apt to even get a look to play other than as a walk on. He is not on a current age appropriate championship team because....drum roll please...you're little johnny is not good enough to make a team to do so. period.....get over being jealous of other kid's successes and their lacrosse prowess. Your kid is not cutting it nor will he cut it. period.

that was not nice to say, was it?

now stop being inflamatory or you will be taunted yet again.

How utterly sad is this ? Its funny, I had a friends who's kid turned down Div 1 and 2 because he liked a d3 school better and while he liked lax and wants to play in college he really did not want to be a semi pro athlete and dedicate his life to it. That people think so much of a D1 lax program is idiotic. If was football or baseball and you thought there was a payoff in the millions down the line for your son that would be one thing. Truth is that the mathletes at your kids school are probably all on a better career track for college and the real world then any travel lax team on the island. I think some of these parents here actually sit at home and can't understand why their kids are not playing in stadiums where people pay to watch them , doesn't everyone understand how awesome we are ?

oh please, great all knowing LAX God...why, pray tell, should I be careful? Will your great knowledge bring bad omens down upon the children who are better than yours?...please oh please identify these who hold the secret of the truth. Our destiny is in your hands...

another definition for you to add to your ever growing minimalist vocabulary..."sardonic"

nerves are just beginning to be hit and be sure, they are not on the sides of the winners...bet on it.

now be on your way to take your kid to actually develop his off hand and maybe he will get off the bench in HS... :-)

You are, seriously, out of your mind! How do you know who "Little Johnny" is? He may just be the "Man", in 2 years, who puts your your "Turtle Boy" back in his shell. I've come on here before defending the Turtles because they truly are an incredible team of 13 year old boys. They are just that...13 year old boys. You never know who is going to be where in the coming 3 years. I truly believe in Karma & I hope it reaps on you & not your son, you small minded, mean person

I think a neologism is indicated in this discourse:

Pathetoric: adj, that describing a nonsensical discussion or argument without basis or substantiation which insults those being exposed to such and relegates those involved to social misfit status.

wow, we taking ourselves a little too seriously maybe? talk about the classic case of living vicariously through your child........

Stop trying to be so clever, cause your not. Come back to these boards in two years after all this travel nonsense has gone by the wayside and the athletes have surfaced.

You are right, this is sad, that grown adults are on here "Trash Talking" about their kids! Good for your friends kid who turned down Div 1 & 2 schools & is happy in HIS choice as to where to spend 4 important years of his life. Some kids do/will enjoy dedicating their life to a sport, as well as school. "That people think so much of D1 lax program is idiotic"...I disagree with you there! It's a personal choice FOR YOUR CHILD TO MAKE!!!! IDC if it is football, baseball, badmitton, lacrosse or bowlin, if your child is talented, atheletic, smart & dedicated enough to handle the time & pressure of D1 (or II or III) thats incredible! You CAN NOT look @ it as getting your money back...You WILL NOT! It's about each individual kid & their families choice. Some mathletes probably are on a better career path for college but, some are not (imagine what the mathletes parents are talking about on their website;) I understand that this site is for posting opinions and those opinions will be put up to debate but, to actually read some post from a bafoon of a parent berating other kids & actually throwing in some word from the dictionary (I dont find his post sardonic or "skeptically humorous") I think it is DISGRACEFUL & he/she is puerile...Go look that up in a dictionary;)

You are a pathetic person..."Sardonic"? I think not. More like Malevolent, repulsive & revolting. Does JD know who you are? I thought you were forbidden to be on here.......

The one and only one who can forbid participants from playing in the sandbox is yours truly. As far as this thread goes, the best part of the discussion has been the SAT Prep course being offered : sardonic, neologism, pathetoric. Who would have expected those three words to pop up in a single day?

We've seen dad's like this guy. Probably never played, and (if he is whom i think) often ejected from the sideline at kiddie games! (ouch!)

Was it Terps 2017 or Dukes 2017 that qualified for dicks but didn't go? I heard two different things.

From my understanding the Dukes and the Turtles have never played. However, the 2017 Terps beat the Dukes in OT at the Winter National final.

And no the Dukes did not go to Dicks.

terps 2017 qualified in u15 by winning a fall tournament in MD or PA, but didn't go to dicks for some reason

And pretty sure neither team has a chance against the turtles. Why you say? Because heaven forbid the turtles play their age group without getting criticized on this forum.

For some reason? If you think really hard Im pretty sure you can figure out why they didnt go to Dicks......(Hint: there was another 2017 team there from Long Island that supposed to be really good)

Turtle buddy, news flash Terps qualified in a u15a bracket by winning a Fall 2012 tournament. Meaning, your team play 7th graders in Fla where the 2017 Terp team would've played 8th & 9th graders. Fear was NOT in the thought process..

AFAIK, there were only two 2018 teams in the 27 team bracket...the rest were big kids and I mean big! Breakers AA and Denver elite were stacked with large kids and each team had a couple of 6'2" players on each end of the field...very intimidating to say the least, and extremely physical, but that did not stop the skill of the Long Island Turtles.

Represented the LI region well against some seriously big and talented kids from all over. Also, IIRC, the turtles won the summer sizzle, the mad lax and crab fest tournaments on their way to the [lacrosse]'s tourney. I think they earned just a little respect for going undefeated in all of those tournaments.

Maybe they're not the best, but they sure are trying their best. What more can you ask?

I bet the u13aa Breakers are massive! Because when we beat the u15aa Breakers in fall they were huge also! No doubt turtles are the #1 team in 2017 but I think most feel it looked a little cheesy to go down there and win by 20 goals a game but I guess all you turtle parents neede some Mickey Time!

I truly wonder if its just ONE turtle parent that LIVES on this site every minute of day & evening, or is it all the turtle parents? Its nonstop "turtles are the best", "turtles can kill everyone", "team 123 did good but they aren't the turtles". OMG, you turtle people are setting your sons up for failure.

There will be several D1 commits from the 2017's from LI on most of the elite teams, meaning players from Team 91, Terps, Trueblue, fl$ and the Turtles. BUT, you some of you turtle parents act like EVERY player on your team is going to be a huge NCAA D1 star and unfortunately your wrong. I feel for the Turtle player/parent that DOESNT go D1 because you need to be careful, that bright light on that spotlight can burn sometimes. Be careful.

Jump up and down all you want but my kid played against both teams and there is no comparison. BTW lighting is quickly changing to LED with 50,000 to 100,000 hours of life so chances of burning out are slim.

Being a great Lacrosse player in 8th grade is one thing, but there are several other factors that go into a kid playing at the next level. The Elephant in the room that nooone wants to talk about is the kids grades. Its all well and good that you are a great lacrosse player, but if you dont have the grades, good luck with that. The Turtles are a great 2017 team and probably the best in the country at the age group, but at some point they are going to have to stand on their own as individuals when it comes to playing at the next level. I have no doubt that many of those kids will end up playing college lacrosse, but lets slow down here, they havent even gotten into high school yet. Lots of things can happen between now and 10th grade.

In the higher grades (2015,2016) the Crabs, Dukes, West Coast Starz and a couple of other from the PA/Balt/DC area are considered as good any club on the Island. How good are those clubs in the 2017 grade? Have the Crabs or West Coast Starz played the turtles?

i should hope there is no comparison, one team together 5 years other together 5 months. And of course your son doesn't play for the turtles, liar.
