Agreed about practices. However, the kid has to play...for game situation experience, exposure if they want to get recruited, and most importantly for the fun of it and confidence factors. Nevermind getting your moneys worth travelling to Maryland and actually watching them play!!!



The kid can get great practices on the travel club, and then start on their high school team and go to showcases with their high school team. The high school coach will promote the kid more than the club.


I like the HS coach trying to gather players to play this is good when you have a good core if not it may not work. It also may not work if your school did have any noteworthy players or HS coach has to have a connect to the college coaches and coaches in their division. Some of the older HS coaches have gotta go and put themselves out there and go to these coaches clinics and be seen and heard. or just get out of the way and let the new guy come in.
