To the Dad who's feelings are hurt and the Dad who's proud as a peacock. Do a little research on these prior lists. Go back to 2012, 2011, etc. See how many of these kids were major contributors. See how many were leading scorers? Further see how many (few) became College All-Americans. Then, and only then can you determine how important these lists are. You will also be enlightened as to how important they are or aren't in predicting future success. To the proud Dad, enjoy the accolade! To the other Dad, don't sweat it.
That is the same as any list in multiple sports. Check the HS football lists, they are far from perfect. In fact, didn't some NFL scouts prefer Ryan Leaf to Peyton Manning?
