I think the author was distinguishing between actual high school and the club teams. There is no age based when a player hits his high school team so the argument goes away in high school sports. The age verification system could exist for club teams into high school. There are a number of tournaments where a high school will enter a club tournament at the oldest age of their oldest players. |
