Just wait a few years and see this get worse. In my 4th grades elementary class, 2/3 of kids repeated 2nd grade or 3rd grade due to Covid. You are going to start seeing this is all sports, not just lax.
Most other sports are age based so parents don’t hold their kids back to gain a sports advantage.
