Congrats to Aces on their Mid Atlantic Title. They were clearly given the hardest route to the bracket and managed to pull out the win. Some great teams in that pool!

How many girls have go on to different travel teams after being with their original ones for some time? All the signs (no playing time, lack of feedback, etc) are there to go but nervous for my daughter and future.

Seems like they trade wins back and forth with M&D. Good games. Congrats to them

Same situation here! My daughter is trying out for other clubs. It’s hard to break that cycle but being a bench player with limited feedback isn’t good.

Is she on a reputable A team? Does she play for a B team? You may want to start by being completely honest about her skill level. Why do you think she doesn’t play? Is she the 22nd girl on an A team? What are her aspirations for playing in college? At this age if they aren’t playing on the top team in any club then they it may not be worth it. Clubs that have multiple teams are definitely a money grab. The B teams (Nevermind) the teams below that, rarely get the quality coaching or attention. If your daughter loves the game and just wants to play then maybe she is better on a lower level team where she will see the field. Nobody is getting recruited because the stand nicely on the sideline. My advice when she gets to the right age is attend prospect days or camps at colleges she is interested in.

Generally, after 8th grade season, most top teams will cut/demote 4-5 girls and replace them with better players. However after this year, there is much more roster stability. Team may add but they rarely cut.

Mid-tier teams have much less stability since they pick up new players from less teams, pick up new players from better teams, cut underperformers and lose top players to better team.

Lax On Elite 2027 has spots and a fantastic Head Coach. They did really well at Nationals against top teams.

Are they looking for attackers at Lax on? I am sure my daughter will lose her spot on an A team. Where are they located?

Ummm.. They lost to the Monster by 15 and lost to a very bad Steps B team. Their only win was against a team of mostly 28s from Wyoming (and they didn't even blow them out).

Lots of girls at Top Guns tryouts. And no mommy/Daddy coaches in sight!

Let’s all go to TG and watch our girls get verbally abused by the coach with no children. Yeh, that’s the move!

Just the usual TG degrading psycho coaches….great!!!

Mommy/Daddy coaches mostly work in the teams favor. On my third go round with travel lax and I must say there’s a much deeper devotion to a team with a parent coach.

Top Guns a terrible destination - coach is fool. Many better options out there

How strict are the big/ medium size clubs with this 48 hour deadline to make a decision?

Great club with a proven track record of getting girls recruited to the most sought after schools. Have you see the list of recruits headed to college this fall? No club is perfect, and if you’re crying because your daughter was “yelled at” you and her better toughen up bit. If the goal is to play in college, better get used to some yelling. It’s when you don’t get yelled at is when you should be worried! Ask yourself why your daughter was yelled at. She probably wasn’t hustling or making the plays she needed to to win games

Depends how good you are.. But often at the 48 hour mark, offers are made to wait list / B team girls.

If you need more time, just ask. Depending on your daughter's skill, they may say yes to a reasonable amount of time. However, no team will likely give you until YJ tryouts if that is what you are asking.

Many parents will put down the deposit and then leave if you have a better offer.

TG has a great reputation if you are one of top 14 or 15 girls on the roster.

However, compare the recruiting results for the bottom third of the TG roster and bottom third of YJ roster. YJ gets its backups into much better schools.

Are the YJ backups that much better, maybe? But Carol focuses much more onA team backups (and even B team starters) than TG.

Interesting at the Nationals they lost to LI Jesters Black a top 10 team by 3, Steps Carolina a top 40 team by 2 and lost to Monster Purple a top 30 team by 15 with 12 field players due to injuries to top players that did not play.
The Organization and the 2027 team is in its 2 yr. of existence, and considering YJ, Jesters, FLG, TG, Liberty etc have been around for years and it's taken some time to get where they are. Most parents tend to go to the established teams,
However Lax On Elite has a TOP notch woman Director and Fantastic womens Coaches and treat the girls that play for them as if they were their own. What they say about teaching these young ladies on and off the field is true. There is only 1 team per age group, year round training and development.
There will be life after Lacrosse once these girls finish playing in Tournaments, and for High School. Some of these young girls will go on to play in College either way the will be prepared for what may happen on or off the field as young Ladies in the real world. That will make up for the wins and losses along the way.

The team is located in Suffolk County. Port Jeff area.

They have tryouts coming up this week and they are looking for Midfielders.

What a complete fumbling of the bag by tradition. Should have opened up the club to non residents years ago. Would have at least gotten the Libertylax crowd

They really have only one issue and he will be the downfall of TopGuns. The brother/coach should not be around children.

Wow! Your jealousy is embarrassing! TG is and always have been the second (next to YJ), and in some cases the best team on LI. Excellent recruiting record. AS is a great coach. Very hardworking and honest. If you have a problem with him, did you speak to him about it? Of course you didn’t. Instead, come on here and make up a bunch of nonsense. Sorry your daughter was cut. Maybe spend less time complaining and more time practicing with her?

Have you heard the brother /coach on the sidelines..??? Embarrassing to say the least. The man should not be coaching girls’ lacrosse. Screaming, jumping and berating girls will not make them better. Doesnt seem like a man who will have a adult conversation when you tell him to stop acting a fool and represent the club with some class

Get your facts straight,

1. She is not the Director
2. She was let go from Wantagh because a HS staff person applied for the Coaches position and for no other reason.

Not a director or a parent.

Just stating what is right, if you wish to report things here and help these young girls along try not to be so negative and be a little more supportive, informative and helpful.

Are Liberty girls coming back after the merger or are they moving on?

Why are some of you being negative about a club clearly your daughters don't intend to play for. Elites mindset? Looking up schedules and results! Clearly the team made some improvements this year as any team should. And yes players who are not seeing the field much, and there are many who can play very well given the chance, should be considering a club li!e this. Maybe the joy of lacrosse would come back to them, instead of driving to practice and putting in the work for maybe ten minutes in a game! You al! Know those trips home on the turnpike are no fun for you and your daughter. Take a shot, remember this is for your daughter not you! See the joy on her face! Your never going to be happy anyway, whether it's playing time or coaches attitudes or the screaming etc, might as well not be happy but your daughter is on the field in games getting better and happy
