Igloo entered, played the teams they were told to play, beat all of them and won the NAL! They got an easier division but still had to win 4 games. Stop crying Express dad igloo is currently better than your team! Enjoy the winter and come out and play in the spring. This Igloo team has a new coach and a bunch of new kids and they are hungry to win! This can’t be a real post. Until Igloo beats LIE, Sweetlax or the Tigers, they certainly can't claim they're better than any of those teams. Be happy that you won the weaker bracket at the NAL, but please don't confuse that with beating the elite teams that were in attendance. For now, the top 3 teams are LIE, Sweetlax and the Tigers since that's who is competing in the finals of all the recent major championships. Perhaps the Crabs and Towermen with their litany of holdbacks will make some noise, but that will need to be seen consistently heading into the summer. Either way, this will be settled on the field. Igloo is always getting freezes out by the people from NLF. They have shown they are a legitimate team in the more inclusive NAL. They are a really good team. So are the others holdbacks are not, stop being a hater and just enjoy all lacrosse. Do you realize how many kids on these teams made their way up from the other teams B teams etc. Or the improvement of igloo from a very good team to an elite team. I think that is what should be applauded. Nobody will remember what team won the NAL or tournament in 3 years. Enjoy the ride.

Express will likely drop in the rankings as they do as their kids grades go by. Express plays by the rules and their kids are much better off because of it. Solid teams on age, etc. As the other cheat to try to win t shirts they develop their players. Agree that Express drop off is happening quickly and right on time. Happens every time to there teams. Peak in 7 grade and fall to the bottom into high school graduation. No development and the kids who get developed by 91, Legacy and Igloo go to the front of the pack. Very true. LIE went 39-2 this fall

Everyone knows they played weaker teams... and they haven't beaten Express in years (and probably won't). Can't say theyre better if they cant beat them. Watched them play this weekend. Upgraded a bit. Igloo added a coach, who seems more even tempered, but the other hot headed coaches are still there showing the same negative emotion, yelling and screaming, and finger pointing. They are not on the same level as Express or any of those other top teams.

As far as I know there are no actual rules on birth year vs grad year. Where can I find a copy of the rules? Given Express pretty much runs club lacrosse they must have the rules on their website, right? Maybe they are on the NLF website?

Sorry but no chance. 91 rapid improvement was the biggest news of NAL for Long Island. Not a good thing that no Long Island teams were in the Championship at this age.

Untrue, igloo beat a mooselax team by 3 goals and showed minimal potential vs real competition. 91 orange storm had a rough weekend, giving up a 4 goal lead to an average express north team. I was informed however, they were without a head coach, Sal Lacsio, who plays an integral role in the boys performance. It is expected of the boys to do better as they have gotten some very good players as of recent and more are coming in. A team to look at for coming tournaments. Igloo is a good nor great program with talent hidden in certain positions but it would be incorrect and out of pocket to put them close to tiger, sweetlax etc. US club lax has laid out 91 and Annapolis hawks as the team to look for. Don’t you have to be present to play an integral role?

Sorry but no chance. 91 rapid improvement was the biggest news of NAL for Long Island. Not a good thing that no Long Island teams were in the Championship at this age. Nope. Players need to practice together to develop chemistry. 91 Florida fly-ins score goals, but aren’t helping their team develop. Oh, and ball movement helps. Pass the ball, please. On second thought, your teammates can’t catch. Carry on.

LIE went 39-2 this fall Unfortunately our Express going to slip to 4 in rankings. 91 is on the upswing. It's clear 91 training is making big improvements. And now we have three or four teams that can beat us with Crabs entering the mix. Once the first kid jumps to 91 from Express it is all over.
