I had no idea Kings Park even had a varsity program

SWR has -3, 11 and 26 on offense. I didn’t see 11 and 26 in the game and 3 was faceguarded the whole game and got limited touches. Amazing that’s the same team that lost to Mt Sinai and Sayville by 1.

North is an awesome basketball player so that proves that basketball is a close cousin to Lacrosse.
Rachel Hall grew up in NY state with a big brother who played and always used her for shooting practice. She went to HS in TX.

Never count Mt Sanai out, I know they had their butts handed to them by bayport regular season, Although Mt Sinai is a down year, Bert always finds a way to compete with Bayport.

The limiting factor is practices this year. I'm sure that Bert could find a way to make trouble for Bayport. I only doubt he could put it in and get it working in time because of the limited number of practices.

MS had no fewer practices than any other team they played.

Stats are unreal. They don’t seem to add up on hardly any team correctly. Also, depends on competition. Play easy teams and easy to rack up stats.

Our Commack team was overmatched today by SE. Although twe dominated draws, couldn't execute. SE a good team, but looked very selfish, which will cost them. One girl tries to run though everyone without passing to other open girls, and turned the ball over about 10x. Seems like selfishness is a problem on many teams that in the long run wind up dividing the team and ending a season. Our team is guilty of the same.

I think we know that player. Small kid, never met a shot she didn’t take and makes a habit of turning the ball over. Our team has one too, these kids would make great tennis players, but they make terrible teammates. It’s a coaching problem, those girls should ride the bench until they learn to play as a team.

The OP was "Bert always finds a way to compete with Bayport."

The follow-up said he probably doesn't have enough practice time to come up with something.

This means, in a normal year Bert would pull a rabbit out of his hat and "compete with Bayport", but this year he can't "because of the limited number of practices."

Try to keep up, Skippy.

Yep! Coaching problem. You let the ball hog/stat hog pull that garbage and not pull them, team goes down eventually. Selfish play is the downfall and it’s on the coach!

Team doesn’t always “go down”, but this is a problem on West Bab, Northport, Middle Country, Hills as well just name a few. Not an isolated problem. Too much emphasis is put on points, this is driven by social media.

SWR parents will never quiet down.

CM needs to calm down. You get doubled by any halfway decent team. Your tough talk is actually hysterical!

Big comeback win by the CM stat paddlers last night!

Indeed. But also think you meant Class B goes through Garden City and Class C goes through Manhasset which dropped due to student enrollment

And if Northport loses to Syosset in the LIC you all lose your lax cards.

Much easier to pad the stats in Suffolk. Manhasset attacker best girl on the Island has around 50 points playing in the power conference. There are no Lindenhurst, Babylon or Brentwood on the Nassau schedule.

Wow!! Both of my nieces played for SWR and went onto an awesome college. I know you parents can do a lot better. The venom that you spew is uncalled for. This attitude will get you nowhere. Coaches will avoid you for sure. Remember that they’re watching your daughter and you!! Don’t embarrass your child and make them think twice about recruitment.
News flash.... it doesn’t matter where your child plays. If they are talented they’ll find her. It shouldn’t give you pleasure knocking other players/ teams because of your own hang ups. I truly wish the best for every girl, including yours. Please stop all this nonsense.

Great post that applies to more towns than just SWR. Everyone can hear you complaining in the stands or while walking to your car. Negativity in the stands carries over to the car ride home and the dinner table. Undermines team chemistry and forces a me first mentality. Maybe instead of telling everyone what/how your coach should use your kid, you should realize your not a coach and not running practices and the coach may know more about your kids ability then you. Thankfully travel season is around the corner so you can bring that negativity to another group of parents doing the same thing as you while you compete for meaningless tournament championships with what ever travel team you kid plays for.

Anyone else think SECTION XI really screwed the 2023s and 2022s looking to be recruited by scheduling playoff games on the weekend? Bad enough they’re cramming in 3 games a week increasing the chances of injuries. Nassau not doing this. Some clubs already pulled out. My daughter will potentially miss two recruiting tournaments due to this nonsense!

Yes! Totally!!! The 22s and 23s need the recruitment tournaments. They lost a whole year due to the pandemic. This Should have totally been taken into consideration

Playing on the weekend isn't nonsense, its smart. 3 games a week, now thats nonsense. The college coaches should be in these stands to see these girls in this environment. You are an buttheadhat if you push your child this year. Be a parent and make sure your girls dont play as many summer/tournament games as they have in the past. I pray non get hurt but here comes the hip, knee, Shin and Ankle and feet issues if you dont give hem a break!!!
