Will win MIAA

Are you saying they will win the MIAA Varsity because of the 2022 API and hawks class coming in?
maybe JV

If thats where he is going. It will be interesting watching Head coach of McD and MM interact over the next few years. What are odds that MM gets a coaching job at McD or at least attempts too.

A few years ago he was a Gilman assistant coach

Exactly. Thats why I am wondering if he applies for some assistant coaching position. Everyone has heard the stories of his favorite player and the rest of the players. He hasnt let anyone coach him besides himself. Look at armor on his arms. You can only protect them so long, eventually they need to fly solo.
Reclassing always helps..but will it be enough !

MM is typical of what you are seeing in the parents who obsess over lacrosse. Especially the ones that did not do a prefirst. Once they get to 8th.. If they cant standout or are average player..Only one choice. Most of time more practice wont get it ... Its .Holdback/reclass... MM isnt the only one doing it either.

Unfortunately with travel so easy for tournaments. All the regions are seeing what the players on Eastcoast are doing with prefirst/reclass.. South, West ,etc are reclassing in 8th grade now on huge numbers.

Clearly you've never coached or even played on an A Conference championship team at the Varsity level. If you had you wouldn't be pontificating...in other words its really tough to take a perennial cellar dweller and win a championship much less make the semis.

Watch out for a sleeper team coming out of nowhere to dominate JV this Spring. Will go undefeated.

Better Hawks and API players went to either dematha or St. John's

Is one of the Hawks goalies really a 2023 grad year? Will he drop down to the 2023 Hawks Team this year?

Talent and potential alone don’t win championships. Player development, game planning and in game adjustments are equally important. Having the best building materials doesn’t guarantee the house will be well built. You need a seasoned successful builder and some great sub-contractors (assistant coaches) who work well together. Talent is great but having great blueprint, experience making critical coaching decisions in A conference or top level collegiate lacrosse is equally important. Given the influx of talent, I would be disappointed if Spading didn’t make the playoffs (the top 6) during the next two years but making the semis and winning a championship is an aspirational goal at best.
