If your son can play he is never late to the travel game, especially a 2020 ! You people are nuts. Most of the tryouts will be in August, sept, oct of this year for next summer. Hit the websites now and review try out dates and expenses. Also assess the skill set. I do not know whIch district you are in. Your school may have a team that is worth exploring. If he is a public school kid he should at the very least do under armour next year and the nassau/suffolk showcase event. This will get him some looks from coaches. That is the objective.

They just beat Looneys.

Looney's lost and FLOGO didn't play. Looney's FOGO apparently sick for the past few days and tried to play sick and with a bruised elbow but couldn't continue. My son and I watched the game and without their FOGO it's tough for Looney's to compete. Also, comical how people think other kids are catching up to that FOGO when they didn't realize he was not well. He's still the kid to beat and in my opinion the top kid in the 2020 class but their are many good kids nipping at his heels.

Hey jerkoff Taz exposed that they never give up and keep working hard and believe in each other. Going to finals after beating the number 1 seed Looneys 10 to 7.. Taz is for real... Only going to get better with rumors of the kids coming to tryout..Love it..! Let's go!!

Looneys played without their, fogo, makes them a different team!

Tomahawks lost to Team Ninety-one MD 3-2. Championship is Team 88+3MD vs. Legacy. Team 9-1MD beat them 9-5 on Monday.

Tomahawks lost to 91 MD in semis

looney's are a very good team but as these boys get older there will be parity for as many as 10 teams in the age group. The exception likely is Crush but even they may find their match in 2020 this Autumn season

They are an above average team, even without their FOGO. Only problem is they do not have a strong backup FOGO, but you can bet they will be looking for one come tryout time.
So, your statement of average is way off base, must be either a LI fan or a Team Md 9 te 1 fan. But no one really cares either way.

They are far from average without the FOGO. Very talented across the board. After crush - the best 2020 team.

With FLOGO yes, without him a very good team among 10 or so who could all beat each other on a given day....as we saw today...no shame in that.

Great play by both teams, very nice write up of the game on the IL site.

Kid who scored most of the FCA goals a pre-first. Turned 15 a few months ago. It was a beatdown though.

Not a good day for LI teams in MD.

LI Express 2020 finally had to compete with another top fogo and didn't win 90% of the face offs in the Naptown final game vs FCA. Looks like #25 won less than 50%. Just shows you that when they don't win all the face offs they're just an average team. Also adds to the importance of the fogo at even the 2020 level.

I have no idea how Long Island competes against Maryland teams at youth level. With the better teams in Maryland loaded with holdbacks and summer birthday kids,, Doesnt that put most LI teams at a disadvantage?? Isnt the grade year age for Long Island Dec 1 instead of Sept 1 like MD. Which most MD teams have even older than that with their held back/prefirst kids??

Not all Maryland teams participate in the pre first/holdback game.

Crabs, FCA and Loonies all have holdbacks. It's the Baltimore private school way of doing things.
