Class A Championship : Ithaca 4, Farmingdale 3 (First Quarter)

Nearing the end of the opening quarter, the Dalers have recovered from an early 4-1 deficit.

Thus far, the Dalers are trying to play very up-tempo against the Little Red and that is proving to be a problem as Ithaca's transition speed is excellent thus far. Bucci has a pair against the Dalers so far.

Daler Coach Bob Hartranft has his first NYS Championship after more than 30 years at the helm of this storied program. Winning the championship with two gut-wrenching overtime victories along the way. Post game interviews are extremely emotional.

The switch to a zone defense format in the first quarter helped slow down Ithaca and allowed the Dalers to regroup in this match. Brilliant coaching on the most visible High School stage.

Report from syracuse.com : Sean Cannizzaro, who injured his left shoulder in the state semifinals Wednesday night, scored three of the Lakers first four goals as Cazenovia dominated the Class C title game Saturday at C-NS.

Cannizzaro, a senior attackman destined for Denver, finished with five goals and two assists. His brother, the sophomore attackman Connor, scored three goals and assisted on another score. Attackman Mason Powell registered three goals for the Lakers and middie John Greacen, who's off to Towson in the fall, scored twice.

That kid Korey continues to prove he's the best offensive threat on that team. Great D when he gets the chance to play middie.
