Congratulations on your daughter's success. Thank you for essentially making my point. Obviously your daughter was gifted athletically, but you say you never spoke to SS and BS during her three years, is that what people should expect from their club? No contact from a director(s) especially during the recruiting years??? SHe seemed to join TG later (Freshman into Sophomore year I assume from you comment of 3 years) did you come from somewhere else? How did your daughter develop her skills? Somewhere else I assume, or you probably had to make up for the lack of instruction yourself by seeking out more opportunities than a player from a club with a solid instructional model. My point is that girls are leaving TG and go from never talking to a college coach to having 5 or more colleges interested after only playing in 2 fall tourns with another club. Does that sound right?? If you are a 1st rate player from West Islip as you claim then you see how easy all the YJ players had it in developing with their team.

There is 1 West Islip girl committed to a D1 school from TG in 2017 age group and she's not playing this year. YJ has none from WI at that age group. There are NO west islip girls for 2018 or 2019 committed from either club yet.

There are two girls from westislip that are committed to a d1 school in the 2017 get your facts right

That team is in for a rough summer with a lot of travel and expense considering how they did against a town team. At that level of play there really is no need to travel off the island.

They came in second to a very competitive team, nice try though.

Why did Top Guns play in the 7th grade division when their goalie was an 8th grader? There was at least one other 8th grader playing for them as well. I'd love to see the "entry roster". Has BS added cheating to his resume as well?

Pay no attention to the YJ lemmings on here. The have small "assets" and no other purpose in life than to jump on TG at every.possible.opportunity. They treat their daughters success as their own. Just ignore them and move on. They hate being ignored.

That is unscrupulous if they indeed used older girls to play in 7th grade division. That is against the spirit of competition. Shame on the adults for such a poor example. Nothing to do with YJ, this is wrong.

That 23 black team had lots of talent and were tough when most of them played on the 22 purple last year. Nice win.

Oh...give a few YJ'ers a few hours to put their collective heads together, confer with CR, and come up with a predictable response. They'll probably say it wasn't a full team, somebody had a headache, etc. Remember friends...In the YJ world they never lose...sometimes they just score less goals than the other team.

Maybe the 2021 team should have pulled up some of the 2023 girls!

TG 2023 Black is one of the best teams in the country at that age group.They will win a lot of tournaments this year.

This was a real compliment. (Original poster). These girls were competitive when they played in the 22 division last year. I forgot that most TG parents here suffer from an inferiority complex and only take compliments as sarcasm from YJ families.

If they are really that good don't you think they will end up at YJ in another year or so? Seems to be the pattern as girls get older.

It was from BS himself. He has been talking this group up to the parents. Probably doesn´t want this team to go the way of the 2020 team. He even promised SS as their coach next year.

Only the real good girls. The rest will stay until their development has slowed that they are so far behind the girls they were once light years ahead of. Just a fact with their coaching model.

LOL! , Why, because you beat YJ in the Shamrock Shootout last week?. YJ doesn't even have a true "A" team. They have a 45 minute evaluation on indoor turf in December. Basically divided girls into last years squads and coaches just split up some of the new kids. Teams didn't even practice until. February. Let's talk after TG actually wins something besides the first tourney of the season. What a joke!

Listen, every club has an appeal on some level. Not all TG players (or any club) would be better off switching to YJ, especially girls from the top teams. Very talented girls get lost in a sea of talent on the top YJ teams. Would you rather be a big fish in a small pond or...... You know the rest. This is true even for 2nd team YJ players looking to move to top. The dynamics will be drastically different, which situation will your daughter rather be in and get the most out of?

YJ pukes think their club is THE CLUB! Why anyone with any sense of integrity and pride would join that team, just to say "my daughter plays for YJ" is beyond me. Nobody but YJ'ers care who their kid plays for. I bet they cheer for the Yankees, Notre Dame, Duke, the Patriots and the Cowboys too.

You don't care what club your kid plays for, or what coach, or who her teammates are? If the YJ people are proud their kid plays for YJ then good for them, if you have no pride in the team your daughter plays on then maybe its you that has the issue.

CR clearly doesn't know how to run a try out I think you should approach her and give her your suggestions she'd be very open to that.
