The are NOT the best club in MD. Used to be, but clearly not anymore. It really depends year to year and what age group you are talking about. There are about 3 top clubs in MD that can beat each other on any given day. The crabs are certainly one of the best but I'm sure the other 2 clubs would point to many wins against them and show they are not the best.
Don't buy into the hype! Only out-of-towners/Staters think that now.

We can all agree that Best is subjective but the Crabs are still the name people think of when you say Maryland Club lacrosse. And the same thing goes for Madlax in Va. I am sure there are good teams in both states but word of mouth, these two still win best in there states. Sorry true or not.

For MD, yes. For VA, no. Madlax has the biggest program (and charges the most by far). But for HS, people talk Blackwolf and VLC before Madlax.

Hi, ignorant, uneducated Madlax dad. Haven't seen you around in awhile.

Guess you're too busy defending Maddux on various Internet forums.

I will give you Blackwolf, They are the best, but how many kids play for Blackwolf a summer 3 teams or 4. I see both Madlax and VLC feilding smaller teams in the coming years. There is so many B Level travel clubs gaining kids everyday. And on all these teams I see 1 or 2 kids who should be starting or playing on the Madlax/VLC AA teams. But the parents do not want to pay the money or do not know there kid is good enough to play with the AA clubs.

Sadly, it appears our Mid Atlantic board has gone the way of its LI brother.

Any intelligent discussion available? Spring season is 2 months away...

At u15 I see it as crabs, hawks, madlax, and Arden. At u13 I see it as crabs and madlax with a drop off after that.

FCA U15 would beat Crabs U15 4 out of 5 times...will never happen as Crabs duck 'em. Crabs are good, not the best...just sayin...

Bethesda and Hawks will be competitive in U13. Both looked good in the fall.

If they fields a standing team, NPYLL should admit FCA at U15 and/or U13. I was under impression that they were a tournament team only, and most of their players also played Loonies, Crabs or GT.

Agree and anyone who has seen them both play and knows the players on both teams would agree. FCA would beat them 4/5 times especially last years u-15!

Is FCa in the league? I am not a crabs parent FYI. My kid plays madlax and they beat Fca in the green turtle last year but lost to crabs in npyll. Has Fca upgraded since then?

What are the chances of FCA and Crabs U15 playing this spring or summer. Will this game happen and where, so I can make the trip. If not who can make this game happen?

FCA lists their summer tournaments on website -

I believe all their teams are playing in the Hoco - Myla league in spring

They are a standing team out of Baltimore FCA Blue is the top team and FCA white is their lower team.

That is not correct. FCA Blue and White are teams that play out of Baltimore. They play in the MYLA club league and in a few fall and summer tournaments

There is one person standing in the way...and he runs
the Crab organization. Why not embrace local competition
rather than run from it. The boys can only benefit.

I am sure there is a tournament the Crabs are playing in that FCA can get into? It can be that hard to track them down. LOL

do not know if npyll is going grade. thought they were age.

curious to know which teams are playing in the MYLA/HOCO league instead of npyll. I heard that some of the Annapolis teams were considering the switch. pretty sure all FCA, Looneys, roughriders, green turtle and some newer teams coopers and wolfpack -even Crabs 5th and 6th grade teams.

Can the board moderator start a discussion thread for the myla/hoco spring club league on the md board?
Both the npyll and the myla/hoco league are run very well and both have good teams in every division. It is great that there are two well run leagues for club teams in the md,dc, va area to play in.

Ha ha. Joke right? What you really mean to say is that the boulle won't let any of the better Nyla club teams into their league. That my friend it the honest truth!

there are two hoco tourneys this spring. One is for rec teams only and the other is for club teams playing in the hoco/myla spring club league. Since NPYLL teams aren't playing in the myla/hoco league this makes sense.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! If this weren't a MD-only league, I would think a Long Island parent wrote this. Do you even know which club teams play in the MYLA club league, known here as the HoCo league?
