Unfortunately this is a youth sports culture in most sports, genders and specifically at higher levels in HS and club. These behaviors have become acceptable especially when teams are successful or winning-people turn the other way and make excuses, and TBH even worst when you are paying for it (ie. club and privates.) Not saying it's right by any stretch, but these situations don't live in vacuums sadly.

This is sad…you sound like you are giving excuses for saying horrible things about teens. There is never an excuse for an adult to bash, share or degrade a child. No matter the club, team or money spent.

Nope. Just pointing out that this behavior has become acceptable and nothing will happen especially when teams are successful. Not justifying it at all

Though I'm sure in other situations an archdiocese school wouldn't stand for this type of behavior, it does seem like a stretch that anything will happen in THIS situation.

Tell for certain what happened ! Please.

It's a made up story just like last year's story where the parents at Severn were adamant that they heard a Calvert Hall kid said something disgusting on the field. It finally came out that the Severn kid made it up. So much for all the first-hand accounts. When nothing happens here, we'll know that this was another tall tale that losing parents were trying to wish into existence.

The absence of a public fall out will not be proof that the story was made up, as there are multiple other explanations as to why that might be the case.

Chief among them is that the story is fabricated.

Not fabricated but even if it was he conducts himself in a way that it was believable in the first place. He’s done the same thing to countless people in the past. Should not be a coach for young women.

100% false. Goalie's teammates are ones who heard the end of game obscenity. during handshake line, coach continues name calling directly at player. This was witnessed by many. Coach broke every rule known to coaches. He has infant level control of his emotions. Not first instance.

You mean the little shove to the back by the goalie (may even say a light push) at the restraining line to draw an offsides? Not a fan of either and no skin in the game. But is that really what prompted all this? I watched the whole last 10 minutes several times to find the “elbow” that was thrown and can’t find it. So I’m assuming this is what made everyone upset?

100% Bull@ChillLaxin. You weren’t there and nobody will stand in front of admin or their team and truthfully say they heard it. Refs , fans right behind bench and he’s a loud guy. Would have more than a couple hear.

Spsg got what they deserve today too. Their parents are insufferable. Worst group of parents in the IAAM. Made up a story after a loss to make rhemselves a victim. Can’t wait to hear the we are young excuse again. That whole school community is @ChillLaxin. They deserve each other.

Not the case. SPSG does not scout their opponents, they don’t hold film sessions with their players, and they don’t have the same offense they had over the last few years. Wins will be hard to come by if they don’t make changes.

It was a shove AND an elbow to a defenseless player by a much larger, senior captain and goalie of SPSG. The Maryvale player falls twice in the last 13 seconds of the game. The wind gusts were not that high so how do you explain both falls?

JB and BR prepared their girls for that game. SPSG did not. End of story.

Wow. I haven’t seen a play like that in boys or girls lacrosse. Hitting a defenseless player 10-15 yards behind the ball? For what reason? Looks like 33 intentionally followed the girl, walked up from behind and cross checked her in lower back. Then an elbow a few seconds later. Shocking that this player was allowed to play on Friday. Other incident aside, this needs to be addressed.

NFHS On Demand. You will need an account to watch.

And whoever said flop… sure did look like a little push. Probably not a flop but also not nearly as bad as everyone is making it sound on here. Again wasn’t there, no idea what happen or was said but watched it because of all the back and forth on here. The goalie definitely came right to the coach after the hand shake line to tell her something. She was obviously upset because the coach hugged her and could be seen talking with her as if something happen. What that means, who knows.

It's becoming more obvious by the week- SPSG can't keep up with the more athletic teams.
Their defender's style doesn't work against good teams that
move the ball.

You meaning sending doubles and being really physical. Then play the victim when opponents call them out. My bet is the coaches sent the goalie to push her over the line. No other reason to have their goalie on the field.

Time to move on peeps, let's talk lax
SPSG is sour looking for excuses
Maryvale is tenuous at best
McDonogh is ripe to be beat
Spaulding isn't ready for prime time with injuries
And the IAAM isn't the best league anymore
Good Counsel trounces all these pretenders

No one cares about preseason games where teams empty the bench. But if you do, McD to Stone Ridge. GC just beat Stone Ridge. You can bring up last year all you want if it makes you feel better when you talk about this year, as though it makes a difference since there are new players. GC goalie play killed them last year and new goalie is much better.

In real play where people are actually trying to win:
SPSG lost to Stone Ridge. GC beat Stone Ridge.
Spalding lost to STAB. GC beat STAB by 12.

You don’t need a goalie on the field. You can play with 8 defenders on that end if you wish !

GC parent told me before last year’s game they were playing a home-and-home in two years against McD. GC must have canceled game this year after they got embarrassed on national tv last year.
