Very well played games, Orange Crush was very chippy while their big #19 was getting heated.

Definitely not the same team as last year. They will be good, but not one of the top any longer in my opinion.

Nice wins for NL. Do you see them being competitive with Hawks and FCA?

I think NL will be competitive. Quality players and good coaching. May like the size a bit, but FOGO and Goalie play will keep them in most games. Their attack line seems to have improved a lot and their defense has always been solid. Should be a fun HOCO season.

Hawks green was at the NXT tourney playing terrible teams. Crabs were there too but they ducked each other.

Which is exactly what the guy from brotherly love was saying in the first place. The person who claimed it was the team was misinformed.

Hawks played pretty weak competition....sad!

The Instagram Clippers gave FCA Blue a game this past weekend. What's up with FCA Blue? Thought they were loaded with holdbacks?

Orange Crush is a torso joke. Those guys are super dirty on a good day. Then when their big fellas with B level skills get racked they get dirty. The player mentioned was thrown out of a game last year, sadly I think it’s the coach’s son. I’m pretty sure if you’re from the Syracuse area and use the word “Orange” in your team name you better be more than just goons.

I believe that is the upper Clippers team that's primarily ex True Chesapeake kids. Still a surprisingly close outcome.

Honestly, 24 months of puberty vs 36 months of puberty is why. Size, speed, testosterone. And btw this is also the reason that a total of about 25 2028s will make their varsity team in 9th grade. Some MIAA schools will carry 0 freshmen on varsity. Sadly the average Instagram Clippers 2026 kid can play circles around most "elite" 2028s. And not bc the 2026 is "good."

This is kind of an odd post.

NL is the new ML? Sounds like they are the team to beat with their ML acquisitions. NL got best ML attack and LSM and already have top goalie in DMV. If NL got all the top ML players, why so much talk about BLC- oops, DCE?

What? No one has said or thinks any of this. The best ML attack is on DCE and the two best ML LSMs are on DCE and still ML. Best local goalie is on Hawks. This post is a complete mess.

NL did get the best LSM from Madlax. But that’s it. DCE got about 90% of ML scoring other than #47 (who scored a lot).
I would not say NL improved dramatically through acquisition… if they improved, it’s via kids maturing/puberty hitting stride They do have a great goalie and FOGO who have always been game changers for them and should continue to do so.
Hawks should still be step ahead, and it sounds like FCA has dropped a bit.

It just sounds like a NL parent excited about their team..

The reason there is so much talk about DCE is because of the numbers, 9 kids is quite a bit. But from reading about their losses against against Crabs and NL, they will need more depth in their team for the spring. So maybe more ML kids or maybe pull some kids from the "B" team? Either way, the HOCO in the spring will be interesting to watch across the board.

US Club Lacrosse posted yesterday that they are no longer partners with MDLX for the club nationals - what is the story there is any?

Maybe because MDLX could not block DCE and/or NL from entering.

Where does DC Express practice? Assuming the new Madlax kids have a nice drive to practice.

I am guessing they practice in the Bethesda area. So not a huge drive from McLean

Mostly Bethesda, so logistics from NOVA just depend on how much traffic there is on the bridge.

NL got the better players from ML (2nd best attack and Best lsm)

DCE got the best defender and best midfielder. The other players DCE are mostly good players but not game changers. NL will be the top team after Hawks. Does anyone know if DCE’s starting goalie the one from ML?

DCE got the only kids who have ever taken a FO for Madlax over the last 4 years. They got the top all’s round Middie. The best 2 defenders. The best Attackman. The starting goalie. A really good LSM. The 11 kids that left Madlax represented about 90% of the scoring, with #47 being the other 10%. The remaining “legacy”
Madlax kids will be gone by Spring.

I am guessing your kid is one of the Madlax players that left....

There are 4 or 5 legacy ML players that are very good. At least 2 of them will be gone before spring starts. My guess is 1 to DCE and 1 to NL. That info is right from the boys, so take it for what it is worth.

The meltdown at ML - across several age groups 28 and below - is just beginning.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I was 100% right that at least 10 kids would leave the ML28s (was actually 11). It was very close to being 14 or 15 but CM wet-nursed, threatened (over high school recruitment) and even begged certain parents/players to stay. Old ML parents joke that he's probably paying some of them to stay to save face.

This is 100% accurate. Including the threatening and bullying of 13 and 14 years around their parents. Ironically, this guy has absolutely zero pull with the high school coaches. They tolerate him but would never help him, and in fact, privately mock him.

There's a team up North who could probably use 10 of those MadLax kids that are left over and run their own team.

With the reputation he is building for himself... it is kinda of hard not to mock him. To be honest, it is really sad to see this happening to a team kids wanted to be part of.

After fall season are teams looking to add players? Any supplemental try-outs?

They were missing a bunch of players.

This is silly. They are significantly better this year.

Doubtful at the Elite level but really depends on the talent. Injuries always happen with fall sport so you never know.

Tell us how they got better? They lost their best player to Crabs #7.
Did they improve at other positions? Their fall performance indicates otherwise thus far
