Big falling out at 91

Another 91 Daddy Coach getting a taste of his own medicine but when the shoe is on the other foot, I guess it was uncomfortable to wear. Unfortunately biggest issue with 91 the past few years with many daddy coaches with subpar sons getting unwarranted playing time this resulting in many leaving the program for other toxic programs. Travel lax has spiraled into a big money producing platform for those in control and parents buying into the notion that their son or daughter must play to have any chance of success later on in the sport.

All good points. 91 at the younger grades has plethora of dad coaches. Some of these teams literally have 7-8 dad coaches. There 29 and 30 team are good but they can’t win against good teams outside the island. 29 team just lost to mooselax. I believer they have 7 dad coaches. The 31 team can’t really beat anyone.

But, if all else’s fails when they get older they will do what they did with their 26 team. They will just recruit student kids from Florida etc that just fly in for tournaments and then leave.

Long Island travel lax is just as corrupt as the politicians of NY.The entertaining part is that all of the parents keep buying in! This is about your kids and your kid’s development.Period! 91 had early success but the culture of the team became highly toxic.We all know this.Players not practicing with the team and coaches kids and friends getting all the perks.The game itself will weed this out.As you can see with their recent year of decline in wins and losing key players from this Pride team.Soon the players and parents on this team will have to make big decisions.Any team that is not honestly rostered will not win long term!Any team that is not well coached -will not win long term.And that is definitely the case in 91s Prides situation.

It’s just amazing that disgruntled ex 91 parents continue to bash 91. These same individuals will be toxic and a cancer to their current programs until they leave for another program while bashing their current program also on the way out.

Wishful thinking.All stated above are facts.Even your coaching staff is walking away.Winning a watered down MLT by the skin of your teeth does not make people envy 91 enough to be disgruntled.It makes them laugh.

Well said. 91 is definitely not the draw it was. Many who left may be disgruntled who still believe that there son is much better than what he really is - but they and others who had more talented kids feel like they were tricked into staying in the program based on the allure of the older teams which were more talented, played kids based on merit and had better overall coaching.

They have been in the B bracket ever since they lost key players because of the daddy ball.All players that left seem to be doing fine on their new teams.And now a coach and his son has left because of this same reason.It’s shameless.

So they can’t play anymore because a couple of kids went to different teams? I’m confused. Players hop clubs all the time for one reason or another, but because it happened there they now can’t compete?

Some of these posts are plain ridiculous. What “B” bracket ?

The point being made is that Pride is not what it used to be.
And with that being said some of the reasons are players/coaches leaving because of the daddy ball culture.There obviously is no B bracket in the NLF.Again.The point being made is that since the competitive drop off Pride has faced less competitive teams then is has in the past.Most believe this manipulation is the reason it maintains such high unwarranted rankings.

They are playing this week and next week at the NAL according to their webpage. This week has the Hawks, Laxachusetts Black, Express and TX Nationals who are all top 15 teams. And the Hawks are arguably #1.


Is the NAL going to be non competitive next week?

Don’t worry. They put three of last years final four in the same pool on day one to make sure they have a chance.

They are playing Big 4 HHH and Laxachusetts YELLOW not black . Texas team only one somewhat competitive.

Lax Black and Express also have same soft schedule as 91 so stop complaining and let the boys play and see how it ends up.

Who is complaining?If 91 wants to keep up the nonsense then they should be able to take the heat.

I’m not sure what this means. Are you suggesting that Hawks, Express, Laxchusetts black, 91 and Texas should all play each other day 1 so teams like HHH or Empire make the 5 team playoff on Day 2?

Haha, spot on. Presumably why they aren’t fielding a World Series team. Last year’s team was remarkably different than their ‘27 team.

“Arguably” is right. Ranked 3 but they beat nationals (their only loss and the second year in a row)…nationals has played zero top ten teams except the hawks who they lost to. and then the hawks beat madlax twice after that. Hawks took one loss this spring to next level who they then beat down in hoco finals. Yet still stand at 3 behind the two teams they beat this spring.

Meanwhile teams like 91, express and igloo keep getting bumped down or overlooked so teams like JM3, nations best and true national who also have not played a top ten team and most haven’t played a game since sandstorm can have their top ten spot

Tell me the rankings are pay for play without telling me…

You’re an [Censored]. Tell me you don’t look at a team’s game results before spewing top 10 nonsense without telling me…

This has been covered before but the rankings use a simple algorithm and you can see the exact math used in the "Rating Math" tab for each team. You can add up the numbers yourself and confirm each teams total points if you like. Head-to-head results don't have any more impact than any other game when the teams are ranked.

Thanks for clarifying, now stop calling them rankings and letting kids have a false sense of reality based on your social media hype train.

If they aren’t rankings then promote whah they are instead of the false narrative. But you won’t because again, you’re in bed with the nationals and the true’s of the world.
