That's a clever way of saying the team is almost entirely born prior to 9/1 2007 and it's not against the rules because they are in 8th grade. However, most of those kids delayed entry to school prior to 1st grade and 4 of them actually repeated a grade and are considered a holdback.[/quote]

It doesn't say that at all and it's you who doesn't understand and can't read. There is no age restriction in HoCo, therefore they are on age. There is zero chance only 4 players on Crabs are born prior to 9/1/2007, zero. In 2018, Crabs had 3 8th graders turning 16 prior to entering 9th grade on the roster. My suspicion is this team has 4.

Looney's situation is unfortunate. The coach is a good guy and knows a lot about lax. He is at an age where there are some personal distractions that keep him from having the team perform at its top potential. Family comes before lacrosse. Losing our defense really hurt the team in many ways. It looks like several of our kids will tryout for multiple teams this summer. The parents and kids have been great throughout the seasons. There are several top players on this team and will start for other teams.

Agree...The Hardshells look very much forward to our new teammates from Looneys!!!

Or they can join a 30+ kid roster full of holdbacks and kids that fly in from out of state. Imagine peaking in life because your son is on crabs. Is it all you dreamed it would be?

That is a lie! Crabs has at least 2 men on the team born in 2006.

There are many fathers on this forum outside the Crabs who live and breathe this stuff to a point of insanity. Worry about your own kid. Makes you wonder why?

They are majority prefirst and holdbacks. Less than 5 are on age . There is nothing wrong with it either. MIAA students/players are on the older side. If you want to compete and play in MIAA, you better be older holdback/prefirst. Dont like it, go rec and play public HS. If MIAA is your goal. Well then join the club and be older. Real simple, and it is within the rules here in MD club and elsewhere.
