every single team discussed on this forum has holdbacks.... let it go already. Absolutely true, any team in top 20 US club lax rankings has to have holdbacks otherwise they wouldn’t be competitive. That is not true, LI teams don't have holdbacks. No one talks about LI teams in this forum, maybe in the Northeast forum, not in MD. No one here cares about LI It still blows my mind that there are grown men, talking, arguing and bashing each other over middle school lacrosse. No dog on the fight but it’s surely entertaining to read! Btw- until you beat hawks regularly, which no one has done yet- it doesn’t matter. They are #1 until further notice. With a little bit of lick hoco will be held in the spring and this will all be settled then. If LI and PA teams want a shot, play hoco, only a short trip down 95

every single team discussed on this forum has holdbacks.... let it go already. Most accurate post in the forum. Only true for the Maryland teams, Long Island would rule the world if not for holdbacks in Maryland. Uhhhh, isn't Spalina a hold back?

That is not true, LI teams don't have holdbacks. Unless this is sarcasm, please stop. Read some of the Chaminade or St Anthony's forum and you'll see whining in there about hold backs.

At least you have a new excuse for holding back your kid in middle school now, during what is already the the most embarrassing stage of their lives, puberty. “The corona made us do it!” If you are going to do it, do it in kindergarten please. Save your kids the hit it will take on them socially when you do it to them in 7th and 8th grade. Fact- using Sept 1 as the cutoff, ALL teams have holdbacks. This topic has been beaten down more times and just won’t go to rest. Stop caring so much because it won’t matter later and if you use it an an excuse for your own kid not excelling, then plan on your kid not playing. Coaches don’t care what you think.

Agreed it won't matter in HS but it 100% makes the difference in many games now. Wrong that all 2026 teams have holdbacks using 9/1/7 as the cutoff.

Who are you claiming does not? Agreed, name the top team that doesn’t have hold backs. You also probably don’t have access to the kid’s birthdays anyways which is probably a good thing. Also, can we move on from this topic?

Some kids just arent able to compete against their on age peers.
