Zags and Prep are really bad this year. St John's is decent and plays a lot better bc of the goalie.

You must be one bitter person to still be hung up on Spalding. Your big issue is with your son not making the Varsity team. Get over it, your son was just not good enough. Accept reality, not your fantasy world of bitterness. Some people were made to play in the MIAA and some werent like your son.

Public school dad here, so forgive the ignorance. How many of the private schools are giving top players free tuition in order to get them to go there rather than one of the other excellent schools/lacrosse programs that are out there?

Read real closely. Some players were made for the MIAA league and some just dont have the talent to play there. Please come to some resemblance of reality and accept your sons ability. It is not on Spalding, it is on him,

Varies on a case by case basis. Most claim that CH, McD, BL, have the most aggressive recruitment with paying for players . Most MIAA do it to some degree as all have financial aid in some capacity.

A few players have jumped schools . The Gilman to Hall player a couple of years ago was a perfect example of poaching.

What planet are you on? Zags just played MCD within 3 goals and GP beat SMs. Duke loses every year to some second tier D1 team early in the season. Then they always make the Elite 8 and usually the Final Four. Have you actually seen GP or Gonzaga play more than one game. The answer is a resounding "no".....

When they lose (and eventually they will) the “we” will become “they”.

No they wouldn't they don't have nearly the talent or depth. Most of Gonzaga's starters wouldn't even make the team at Calvert Hall.

Calvert Hall just played Gonzaga and beat them 18-5, taking the 4th quarter off. They play St Johns next week. I don't think they play the other two. Im sure the other schools play some of the DC teams too. Its just apples and oranges. MIAA and the DC League. Thats not an insult its just different.

With 50 kids on the varsity team my guess is 'we' watch a lot of lacrosse rather than actually played a lot of lacrosse.

Schools closed Friday to have leadership conference on COVID-19. Kids being told to be prepared not to return after spring break. Same with college kids. One person murdered a day in Baltimore. Nothing. Two Suicides per day. Nothing. Six overdoses per day. Nothing. We need to get a grip instead of whack a mole politics.

Incorrect. their seasons were suspended, not canceled, while classes are suspended. Do not add to the hysteria.

I saw the news on Amherst, they did say suspended, and that there's a "very outside" chance that the season could be resumed...I doubt that in person classes will resume. They only really have 2 months left.

This is crazy! Canceling entire season because of this. How many times does the flu run through a locker room and no cancels their season for that. The media needs to find something else to talk about. To bad the impeachment could not have gone longer that would have keep the liberals occupied!

They were scrimmages. CHC JV played G last week as well.

No surprises today: MCD stifles Bullis, dominate defensively, BL and the Zags in a dog fight. Cruisees get crushed by Haverford away. Could be a tough year for them.

I believe there is a good chance Spring Sports are close to being canceled in the next week or two. Colleges around the area are prepping already for closures and online education; HS in PA are cancelling out of state travel, local HS are canceling meetings. I honestly do not think the season will be completed this year.
