Doesn't matter season is over who gives a [lacrosse] . It's been a crazy season .. who's care about your rankings not all teams played each other so can't rank them because you don't know who would win . The season is over move on.. All that matters are head to head games with the most recent meaning the most.

Seems like a great deal.

The immutable truth regarding parent coached teams is that consciously or sub-consciously, their sons/daughters will be given preference and be promoted at the expense of other team players. At tournaments such as Millon, coaches are regularly asked to submit the names of their players that they wish to be considered for mention as "All-Tournament" players. Millon did not create this list on his own, but rather with that important and likely prejudiced perspective. In this way, Millon is promoting the Millon "brand", yet again, by pandering to those people that he needs to enhance his standing in the youth lacrosse community. I would suggest that some selections were very much warranted and others were not. A universal answer to your question is not possible. I can though restate that this "recognition" vehicle was and will always remain tainted when coaches are asked for their input, and their own kids are in the pool of players that can be selected. It's a power play by dad coaches, but that should not surprise anyone at this juncture.

Not sure what your beef is. If you watch the Hawks, they play pretty good lacrosse, team lacrosse, well coached and have some talent peeking through. Now maybe they are the best team, maybe they are not the best team, I don't know, don't really care who is the best 7th grade lacrosse team in the universe, but they are certainly a good lacrosse team and good lacrosse program. Ugly uniforms tho.. maybe you can rank uniforms instead of 7th grade boys?? Just a thought.

A fairly reasoned answer which goes off the rails at its end. You state a "universal answer" is not possible, and that some selections were warranted and some not. Then to close, you paint all with the same brush by calling it a power play by dad coaches, implying, I think, it impossible that the son of any "dad coach" could be worthy. Do you really think that's the case? If so, can't believe you watched the same tournament that I did.

I think the final rankings from Millon National Championship are pretty close to the way they should be. Maybe a couple west coast and philly teams and obviously Prime Time should be included, but otherwise, these are pretty good:
1-igloo(6-0) 2-91 md(4-2) 3-hawks((4-1) 4-bethesda(4-1) 5-LI express(3-1) 6-91 LI(2-2) 7-greyhounds(3-2) 8-3d NE(3-2) 9-BBL(2-2) 10-Diamondbacks(2-2) 11-Roughriders(3-1) 12-PB revolution(1-3) 13-LI Outlaws(2-2) 14-So Cal express(1-3) 15-Madlax(1-3) 16-Superstar(1-3) 17-Team Carolina(1-3) 18-CT chargers(1-3) 19-LeggyC(0-4) 20-Triad(0-4)
Just FYI. Madlax was missing its top two scorers. One of them broke his arm at Young Guns. The other one broke his arm first game on Saturday. Really sad. Any time a team loses its top two scorers, it is going to struggle at a tournament like this one. I got to think they would have done better if they had been at full strength. Beat 91md earlier this summer. Should have pulled an Igloo and added a player, or two, to replace the kid that broke his arm during the tournament. No need for grade verification like every other player in the tournament. Just add away at the word of a guy. So what there were other rostered players. It's cool, right? OMG Stop crying already. How do you know the Hawks didn't add a player? Hogan should have sent some of his refs. The ones that were at that field for the 2 games I watched were TERRIBLE. One was standing in the middle of the offensive set the entire game. Had this [lacrosse] grin on his face and wouldn't move. Stupid. And let's not get started on the 5min delay for a stick check. Millon special. I'm sure they received a bonus. Stick checks at youth are for pure losers. Even in HS many coaches wont call it unless it so blatant . I would never call it as its means your team sucks and you cant win it on the field. Any truth to rumor that Millon swapped his fogo's stick with a backup stick when his refs went to check the game stick?

No way! Watched the game and the FOGO's stick was the one he was using. This must be from a Hawk's parent grasping for anything to justify their lose!

Big push by USL today for official rankings of all club teams using age cutoffs across potentially all tournaments using Tourney Machine.
Any chance this will make the clubs go age based?

Actually, if any top level club came out and said they are only fielding age based teams, I'd have my kid attend the tryouts to see what the turnout looked like.

No. The US Lacrosse position will not make all clubs go age based. They made a deal with NXT and Got Soccer to try to capture the revenue in the events business but still offer no value. US Lacrosse may care about the sport and the kids, but it is not enough to support their bahemoth annual expenses. They need revenue and the insurance gig and benefactor support doesn't sustain them. They tried to force memberships- not enough. So now, they will enter another line of business and the split occurs. Tournaments and teams divided into the haves and have nots if you will. Us Lacrosse can put their fence around the have nots and maintain control and receipts as best they can. The haves are the top clubs- they have the players and the relationships. The have conferences and events. They have the talent- the product- the value. The have nots are the bulk of the market (where the money is) that are not top flight lacrosse teams and programs but represent the largest portion of the tournament circuit. So at the common-man's expense and on the back of the everyday lacrosse player, we will now be told who to buy our insurance from, where we can play, how we can play and in turn pay these same people for decreasing value and accountability for taking away the freedom of the sport. Let it be. Freedom of choice we have and we choose despite not always liking all of our options. Now the choice if you are not on a top flight club team, will be gone. If the mission of US Lacrosse is to make more money, along side NXT and advertisers, to support themselves, they just took a big step in that direction- but it will be at the sports and their family's expense. US Lacrosse should tell us the truth. They need money, they need new lines of revenue, and despite have 120 employees and 400 volunteers, they have no idea how to do it themselves.

In past Madlax, Cavalier, MDX, Lax Factory have participated
Good way to just get a game in every Sunday when not playing football, hockey, soccer for few weeks
Hearing some squads from further out are considering

Is there going to be much movement this year on the MD clubs? Will kids go to Crabs as they usually do in 8th grade considering how week that team has been over the last few years? Same question for FCA. If so, where will these kids be coming from? Will anyone be able to compete with Hawks this spring?

A few in Annapolis also. The best teams will probably be the ones that recruit this former 2021 talent new to 2022. The HoCo standings could flip entirely next year.

because koopers has a handful of the best 2022s around they just happen to play for koopers 2021. now that their team is moving onto high school these kids have to drop down to 2022 and play on age and koopers will be the best team around.
