A question about Madlax 2021 the Capital/top team is not playing in HOCO this year. I know 2020 did not play last year and all the drama around that. So I am guessing Madlax will not play their 8th grade team in HOCO every year from now on? Or did HOCO not let the Madlax 2021 team in the Elite bracket again like last year. I see Madalx Capital is in the Elite bracket in 2022 to 2026. Just wondering about the politics of the HOCO league and Madlax?

Madlax chose not to enter their 2020 team last year. Their 2021 team is in the elite bracket. They play FCA week 1. Look again.

I think DC Express will be a very difficult team to beat this year. The bottom 3-4 teams could easily be in AA division (Looney's, Bitmore, FCA, Madlax)

No, only HS teams....2020, 2019, 2018 etc. 2021 is middle school.

Players from clubs throughout the DMV try to get a roster spot on BW once they hit the HS level. It's typically not the other way around.

Crabs will eat the competition up. They are that good. I doubt the lose one game this year.

And if that happens it is because they are loaded with holdbacks. Deny it all you want but this team is full of holdbacks, many should be playing 2020 and not 2021.

Anyone want to throw out expected top 4 for the playoff spots?

Sorry monkey boy, not whining at all, just pointing out the truth. My son is on age, never did the repeat year like obviously your kid did. Must cost you a fortune in double tuitions, nice that you have that second job flipping burgers at night. My son, well above average, has been talking to three top Div 1 schools since last fall. So don't assume so much when you get called out for your little johnny repeating a grade so he can try and be a great player Did Ryan M suggest the repeat year or did you figure that out all by yourself.

Yep, the rules are the rules, seems you and your "associates" like to take full advantage of them, by creating a team almost entirely of holdbacks, 2020 players pretending to be 2021 players. Guess by end of spring or early summer some will be driving themselves to their games.

Not whining, as you call it. Seems you can't tell the difference between what is a pathetic way to create a team full of holdbacks and doing the right thing, if a holdback shows up for tryouts, fine, let him in if good enough. But to drill down to get as many holdbacks as you can on a team, that buddy boy is pathetic. Ask around and seek others opinions, you will not like what you hear.

Saw VLC 2021 the other weekend. Has the makings of the best VLC team for years. 2020 and 2019s were duds. They might even beat Madlax.

It's whining, sweetheart. You live in an area with a very large amount of private schools. You should have held back, so that you could put together a better argument.

The more likely scenario is that teams keep the best kids at tryouts.

Is there anything in life that your son will be doing by exact birth year between now and forever, except for celebrating his own birthday? Why do you think you are entitled to a birth year regulation in a grade-based private lacrosse league?

I am hearing more and more of 53 and 54 year spouses that are getting into these tennis and shuffleboard leagues in 55+ communities in Florida and running the tables. They are using their older spouses to get into these leagues, it is out of control. Totally gaming the system.

My son is on VLC 2021. They replaced 1/2 the team from last year which is normal for VLC. Unlike Madlax VLC begins in 7th so it takes the team longer to put together talent.

You're wrong about VLC 2020 though. That team has some serious talent and will be good this summer.

You know exactly how they did... No one considers them a favorite. You are just trying to start some crap about a team. They are Just good kids that play hard... All of those kids will be playing for MIAA schools in the fall...No one from Bitmore would ever post that they are considered a favorite in HOCO for the spring... Juvenile post at best....Good luck this year beating up local kids on this site to try to make your team look better...Jerk!

They might be good kids, but there arent a bigger bunch of d bags than the parents / directors of that team. And they have all been saying they are the best for the last 3 years. Have fun...jerk.

These are some huge 8th graders. I hear Madlax also is filled with kids repeating grades as well.

If you are a team with no kid older than August 2002 and you have a normal range of kids hitting puberty, it's pretty much impossible to compete with AA teams who are loaded with older kids or early maturing kids. Hardly the end of the world, of course, but I don't see how college coaches find the best players watching 2021 teams when so much of a kid's relative ability on the field is tied to when he hits puberty. Anyway, if your son wants to play at PSU or Michigan or Hopkins or Maryland or UNC (some great choices there that early recruit), it's the smart play to either hold your kid back or move your early maturer to a AA team like that. I'm just glad my kid's favorite two D1 schools (for lacrosse and in general) put the breaks on early recruiting.

FCA ready to make some noise in the 2021 Elite division

They lost 9 to 4 to GT today

Dont know about these kids. The whole holdback/reclass/prefirst is out of control with 8th grade lacrosse and under. No end in site . So anyone considering their child to play should hold their child back..Or start him one year later. So many doing it now. It doesnt seem that unusual. Especially in the private schools. Look at at most coaches that have kids that are in private schools. ALL HELD BACK

Last week. Crabs struggled with Koopers, I was surprised by that because the Crabs are loaded. Koopers looked really good though. DC Exp doubled up API but they are lucky they didn't play a deeper offensive team. DC-Exp was man down for a total of 6 +/- minutes, with multiple 2 men down, and API did nothing with the advantage.
