Wantagh GC final both teams deeper than Manhasset. GC goes to LI finals.

Holy Sh*t, that guy never shuts up - and it's all nonsense. Can't believe the head coach puts up with it.

I know it's too far ahead but it looks like the B LI champ will come from Nassau. I think the top 2-3 A and C teams in Suffolk would give 516 a beating but it's too bad Nassau and Suffolk have to play each other in all classes to see who goes to states.

Interesting match ups for next week in Suffolk.
Middle Country vs West Islip. Mc won the first time

Smithtown West vs Northport. SW won the first time

ESM vs Miller Place. ESM won the first time

Rocky Pt vs West Babylon. WB won the first game

BBP vs Mattituck. BBP won the first game

SWR vs Mt Sinai. MS won the first game.

WB was the only lower seed to beat a higher seed in Suffolk. Should be some good games next week.

How come Wantagh plays Manhassett? Aren't they the 1 and 2 seeds? Manhassett should play LB and Wantagh should play GC.

I think A is the most open of the three as you can make a case for any of the teams.
In B, people can say that ESM didn't have a great year and if they had to play BBP Mt Sinai, or SWR, they would lose but they don't have to play them! Can't see them losing to MP, even thought they are down the girl who was 2nd in goals on the team and the first game vs MP was a two goal game. WB/RP was a close game the first time around; I think RP has more overall talent but WB has the best player.
C has four good teams playing BBP should take care of a solid Mattituck team and SWR Mt Sinai should be some game. BBP is undefeated for a reason but SWR played them close In Suffolk A the strength of teams is a bit down from last year and agree with you, it is up for grabs. B the strength of teams has fallen off a cliff from last year. ESM still best but a shadow of what they were last year. RP has a better player by far over WB, neither team very strong and no chance to take counties. In C, MT Sinai clearly not the team from last year and the only team in Suffolk to actually look much stronger this year than last is BBP. A and B will not even make it off of LI this year, BBP will take states.and if MT Sinai wins vs SWR, they did get whooped by BBP the first time but in Mt Sinai's case, you can throw that out the window and they are defending state C champs.

ESM lost to BBP in overtime. So......anyone could have won that game! Plus BBP had home field advantage(grass) I wouldn't count out ESM so quickly!

Ok 8-6. How does that make BBP so much stronger? Everyone of ESM losses were by 1 or 2 goals verse the C schools.

1. West Islip. Over the past two years they are 40 - 4 with a State Championship. Good coaching and a winning attitude will take them far. Strong leadership. Coaches and players expect to win.

2. Middle Country. Will compete but last year might have been their year. 18 - 1 last year and combined 29 - 7 over the past two years. I think they will be in the mix. Maybe they play with a chip on their shoulder. Are they hungry after last year?

3. Northport. 24 - 12 over the past two seasons. Coaching and tradition will keep them competitive. Not sure the horses are there to win the county but you never know. Usually play with a lot of attitude and emotion. Combine that with being well prepared for big games and they can surprise.

4/5. Toss up Smithtown East / Smithtown West. West is 24 - 10 while East is
23 - 11. the last two seasons. Not sure either team has the depth to challenge the top teams.

6. Ward Melville. 19 - 14 past two years. Historically will make playoffs and then lose to a team that they had beaten during the year. Better than .500 but can't see them winning.

Not sure if anyone else has a shot. Sachem East?

You really are pathetic , what was ESM 0-4 vs C schools . BBP is undefeated , beating teams badly that beat ESM .

No reason to go right for calling someone pathetic. BBP will be state champions this year, no doubt. ESM and SWR lost to BBP by two goals, other than those two teams BBP crushed every opponent. ESM won't have an easy time with Miller Place. Coach is very smart. The injured ESM player was faceguarded by Miller Place during regular season and I don't think had any points in that game anyway. Whoever wins the Bs will have a tough time getting off the island this year but anything can happen. BBP, definitely the strongest Suffolk team, A, B or C.

2 questions about the new divisions. Does Middle Country now have to play as Newfield and Centereach? Do Mattituck, Greenport and Southold now have to field 3 seperate teams to stay in D?

BBP beat WB 15-11. WB only team to score double digits on them this season.

I think your list is incorrect. B division is 790-1074. That would move Westhampton and the others below them to C.
