It is clearly spelled out on the websites for each tournament. For the 9/10 bracket at this tournament the kids needed to be born after August 31, 2002. The same requirement as US Lacrosse U11. It doesn't matter which grade they are in.

So let's get this straight smash and united played in the 9/10 A division with 9 and 10 year olds and you are trying to sell they were younger than everyone else?

9/10 is really u11

Maybe in 91 world but in the real world 9/10 is really U-9. But can't be U-11 as you U-11 is 11 and 12 year olds. 91 was in the right division as they are 9/10 year olds, they lost to teams their own age, no big deal.

no really that's how the aloha tourneys work. 9/10 is mostly 11s. 7/8 is mostly 8s and 9s. read the rules.

Nobody said anyone cheated. Point was that Smash and United were both true U10 teams playing in a U11 division. Fact is that they could go to this tournament again next year and play in U11 again.

They both made the playoffs and lost close games to a very good team. Nothing to be ashamed of there.
