These fall tournaments are not and should not be about winning or losing, its about keeping a stick in their hand. You have to remember these were not the "original" rostered teams, these were girls who really wanted to play. A lot of these coaches got it wrong that weekend and it wasn't just at 2020 level either, this happened in 2019 and 2018, girls got minimal playing time in FULL games. These are children and these coaches need to remember that. Winning isn't always the answer. How about building confidence, having fun, meeting and playing with girls from other teams. That is what builds spirit as a team and as an organization. |
