Comsewogue beat Sachem North in a "scrimmage" 11-5 yesterday, certainly a shocking result - North played with their recent player additions. Defensively Sachem was a little ragged although the quarterly goalie switches could explain everything - no rhythm, just practice which is the right approach for a scrimmage.
Comsewogue was better in the faceoffs throughout the game; their zone defense seemed to pick up the individual Sachem North attackmen fairly easily - including transfer Gamblin which was a surprise, but surely just early season struggles. Let's see what happens two months from now. |
