If you don't think Crabs will be flying in kids for tourneys the next two year, then I have a bridge to sell you.

I have no idea if they will or not but I can guarantee you that at least 95% of the players on the team will be ecstatic about it if the fly-ins are good. Most kids like winning. It’s the parents who get bent out of shape.

100%. What kid wouldn't rather sit and not play in order to watch his team win? You couldn't be more right in that kids at that level enjoy not playing.

It’s just not that black and white. Coaches don’t bench other kids for a fly-in. There is typically just more subbing. Most kids are ok with that if it means winning. If they are not, then by all means, they should look to play elsewhere.
Actually it is completely black and white, and it depends on the position that the fly in plays. if a team like MadLax flies in a super student lefty attackman from Texas who scores 4-5 goals per game, of course the goalies, fogo's, and d-poles and all the other kids whose playing time is not affected (and their parents) will be ecstatic, and fawn over the new kid, and pat themselves on the back for being so welcoming and inclusive. but the player who normally plays the position and came to all the practices, tryouts, winter workouts, etc. will be on the bench and will be miserable and his parents will be pissed. who wants to compete for a position, and earn it, and then wonder week to week if someone will be flown in from wherever to play ahead of you.
