No top 12 players left Madlax. Those who did were nice kids, decent players. But not major contributors.
False. The majority of ML’s starters have defected. The question now is whether ML will be able to field two teams at 28. The people who stayed are kicking themselves for putting trust in CM. I expect a few more to leave. As usual the nicest families who didn’t want to abandon the team got screwed. CM got his comeuppance but it [Censored] that so many great kids are stranded.
They’re not stranded. Next Level, DCE, and VLC will take them. All are good teams with normal, sane coaches.
Madlax is losing its momentum bigtime. The DCE and NL tryouts are loaded— like 80-90 kids looking to play. Madlax tryouts? 7-8 new kids looking to tryout, very few of whom are elite. Madlax Capital carries a roster of 18-19, not because they want to— because that’s all they can find. Their DMV team doesn’t win games in the 4th division of HoCo. Meanwhile, the BLC/DCE and NL teams are a healthy 25 kids, and their B teams are SOLID, and serve as a great pipeline of talent.
Madlax will find some solid guest players from Kentucky, Texas, Florida like they’ve had to do in the older age groups. Which is really annoying for the kids who practice year round. Fact is, there is a steady churn of players out of Madlax as puberty hits. Toxic.
