I bet it was indeed a MadLax parent, which would explain why Hogan only kicked out the illegal player, and did not DQ the whole team. It was probably framed as a "clarification" of what is allowed, rather than outright cheating, which is what an opposing team would have called it. The NLM theory doesn't hold up because Next Level was not playing at the event. and besides, considering that Next Level has beaten MadLax every time since the player departed (hard to believe it has been two years!), I doubt that NLM spends much time thinking about MadLax anymore. maybe a little, but she's not drive to random events to police who is on their roster.
