I talked to a parent this weekend who's son play for a club team that has a National team. The son made the national team and is required to play on the club team as well. He can not play for the national team and play for any other unaffiliated club team.
That is normally the case. Additionally, teams like True have policies that prohibit you from playing against their national team if you elect to play for a different national team.
Some national teams have bent those policies based on the players talent level and the need to field a more competitive team in the Circuit.
