There is a pretty simple way to resolve this. Newsday should list the stats by division played in, that way you'll see apples to apples. What is a player in a lower division supposed to do, not score or assist against weaker opponents? Once playoffs begin you see how the lower division will struggle against better teams.

It's still not apples to apples, even teams in the same division or conference don't play the same schedule of opponents. Some teams that are ranked in middle of pack or bottom of pack will feast on the worst competition. Highly ranked teams play the toughest schedule of opponents, that's what power ranking schedules does. That's why you always see a few high stat kids from weak programs. At least in Suffolk anyway....[/quote]

Totally. The stat reporting in Newsday is ridiculous way to judge LI players. Total wrong picture of what’s really happening on the LI LAX scene. Should No way lump conferences and the stats all together like that. It’s useless stats, that have no real insight to the best players. Save the stats for the playoff games and maybe then ,can get a better picture of the best players and their stats?
