Whats up with the MIAA as far as when teams can start practice? Teams posting practice on social media everyday. All fair game now?

Open to practice, year-round. Every school does it, to varying degrees.

There are limits,,,just that these are captains practice or some such made up name to keep it legit and within the rules, There also is no recruiting according to MIAA rules ! LOL


Teams are allowed 3 hours a week to be on the field together practicing.This does not include all the strength and conditioning work done off the field.Teams that do a work around like Spalding that have primarily only lax bros on team set up a Club team (Dingers) which appears to be able to practice year round on campus. The other 95% of schools have similiar club team they play under or just use actual school to play in fall events.Those same schools have players that do multiple sports and are not allowed to participate in weekly practices or events.
X. OUT OF SEASON PRACTICE
Summer Season: June 1 - August 1 (Fall sports)
June 1 - Beginning of fall practice (All other sports)
For practice purposes, summer begins June 1st and ends August 1st. During this time coaches can work with student athletes in any capacity. The use of protective padding for football, (blocking/tackling sleds or similar apparatus) is prohibited and no contact is allowed. Camps are excluded. From August 1st thru the start date for fall practices, fall sports teams may utilize weight training and conditioning activities only. The fall start date signifies the end of summer and workout limitations.
Out of season practice: First fall practice date - May 31
Coaches will be permitted to work with their team outside of the normal season, but during the school year, for no more than three hours per week. The three hour time period is voluntary for students and may include: agilities, practices, individual sessions, open gyms, games or contests during the week. Weekend club games/tournaments and weight training/conditioning activities are not included in this three hour limitation. The three hour time limit is cumulative for all coaches. (This includes spring football)
There are no out of season limitations for the individual sports including: cross country, golf, squash, swimming, tennis and track.
