A 2017 team would not be considered U 13??
No, 2017 would be U14 (if there was a U14) or U15. Most 2017 kids were born before 9/1/1998 ....some a whole year or more.
According to US lacrosse U 13 for Spring of 2103 is Born on or after 9/1/1999. It's virtually impossible to be 2017 and born after then!
