Take a close look at the 2018 and 2019 Brackets. Notice the brackets that have two Long Island teams knotted at 2-0 ... and how many of those teams do NOT meet each other in group play. BOTC asks a simple question : Why have six team brackets with only four games in each ... but worse, why not pair the obviously two top teams in these brackets?
It really makes for an awful tournament because when you don't have head to head deciding top place, it comes down to goals against and for. This means that you really have to run up the score and keep your opponent from scoring at all. Not good lacrosse.
