Any truth to the rumor that college is allowing an extra year of eligibility to current freshman and sophomores that didn't see the field?
That’s not new. Always been available
It’s called a redshirt year. It doesn’t grant an extra year of eligibility, it just doesn’t count the non-playing year against the 4 years of eligibility the athlete has. It is different than what the ncaa granted due to COVID-19 shutting down the 2020 season
