Yes Long Island is stronger than ever. However the players committed to division one and top division two & three colleges are now coming from many public high schools from Long Island for the class of 2021 who usually do not or have never produced a division one player in the past. This is a good thing not having a hand full of high schools from Long Island producing all the division one players in college. The game is spreading on Long Island too.

Yes it is spreading to public schools but check out some of these "elite" colleges and university rosters.....overhelmingly players are from private schools located in a lot of different states.

It has always been that way. One of the major reasons is because kids who go to those schools will always be able to afford full tuition. So they get less scholarship money. If a college could pay less for a player slightly less talented they will do that every time.
