This definitely shouldn’t happen in club ball, and if a student is breaking the rules for high school, then parents should hold schools responsible. Contact news stations report it, they are always looking for news stories about privileged suburban kids and this hits the nail on the head.

I'm not a big fan of holdbacks, but this is kinda silly.

Yes, it’s silly for sure. However, the schools don’t seem to enforce their own rules, it should be made public to shame the parents and schools/clubs who enable this to happen. Also will put US Lax in the hot seat.

We are talking about a kid who was held back one year. That doesn't violate any school or league rules. His is the most extreme age gap from a single year holdback, but merely because he was born in September.
