Blame the NY clubs for this, they started bringing 91 down to beach lax when it was still rec teams competing. They started the grad year teams and then in typical NY fashion cried when others followed suit. NY schools are Jan -December, where most others are September- August, which is why they always claim to be younger.

The Tyler, lightening, [ChillLaxin] model worked just fine.

^^^ Truth ^^^
so the conclusion of this recruiting process - to be competitive you need to reclass, be in a private school, and be on a top club team; otherwise don't bother.

60% of this top 10 did not reclass, I believe 5/10 go to public school, 10/10 on top club. Will be interesting to see how these #s play out for the rest of the class

Look at Inside lacrosse top 10 2022, 8 of them 03, 1 02, 1 04, birth year. CHEATERS ALWAYS WIN. LOL

The sad reality is that college coaches could care less about age and for the most part prefer older players. If these same holdback parents could somehow hold they child back again ( double holdback) and still play High School, majority would for the advantage.
Most lacrosse holdbacks are not held back for academics, no matter what is put out there,

Private schools feeding clubs are the drivers of this along with college coaches wanting older players.

Always told anyone that would listen, If you want to play D!, Hold them back, your chances are way better.
