Blame the NY clubs for this, they started bringing 91 down to beach lax when it was still rec teams competing. They started the grad year teams and then in typical NY fashion cried when others followed suit. NY schools are Jan -December, where most others are September- August, which is why they always claim to be younger.

so the conclusion of this recruiting process - to be competitive you need to reclass, be in a private school, and be on a top club team; otherwise don't bother.

no, plenty of public school kids to to good lax colleges, they just has to work the recruiting process a little harder. public school kids don't typically reclass unless they actually get held back.
