I do enjoy the game, so yes you are correct. Point is the summer has been taken up by practices and weekly tournaments. This year = Beach,boating, and pool June through July.
FYI - There are other tournaments that are going to be announced with late July and early August dates.

As a parent with a kid who does 3 sports this is the best thing ever. Not only do we get some weekends back but I think kids that go hard all year round in multiple sports could use this time off to let their bodies recover. stinks if your whole family life is geared around little johnny who only plays lacrosse but relax, it will be back next spring.
I agree with you 100%. This is the first year, as a family we are able to enjoy other warm weather activities we were forced to squeeze in during the lax season. It is unfortunate, many families have no other enjoyable/meaningful activities beyond their kid(s) lax program. Believe me, this year I don't miss leaving after work on Friday or early Saturday morning traveling out of state to stay in a hotel with a bunch of screaming out of control kids and intoxicated parents. Let alone going to a hot dusty lax field, eating a portion of a so called Italian hero prepared on incorrect Italian bread. But, next year it'll begin again.
