Every concert, marathon, arts festival, carnival, 4th of July event is cancelled for the entire summer. I really can’t see anything happening all summer, unfortunately. Just wish we could get an answer to move to a fuller fall schedule so families can go on vacation instead of waiting all summer to find out at the last minute that surprise, everything is cancelled.
I can’t see anybody taking a risk to have these kids possibly get this virus. Imagine if one kid got sick, the fall back would be incredible. Even though chances are low that kids contract this virus, I don’t see this summer happening.

I am afraid that we are going to be on a slow drip of information for the rest of the summer.

There is no incentive for the tournament directors to cancel things and then have to offer refunds or credits for next year. There is no incentive for club directors to make any decision because if they shut preemptively they will be out their tournament fees and have parents asking for refunds/credits.

This is why I think the NCAA extended the Blackout period through July. I think somewhere in their thinking was the short-circuiting of the recruiting pyramid. Now I know that he '26s aren't getting recruited but most of the "good" tournaments are multi-grade events.

I completely agree with you that this limbo is the issue. I would love to know that things won't happen and I can use the funds I have allocated to rent a beach house and chill for a couple weekends...
