It looks like more and more schools are making the decision not to grant the extra year and take repeating seniors or grad transfers with 5th year eligibility. Pietramala and JHU just parted ways over it and it was bitter.
The first part of your post may be true but JHU was getting a new coach way before this. Alumni were ready for the change. They were on pace for one of the worst seasons in school history
