Like what? If you have more than 100 boys per class you are in a different league? If your assistant coaches are middle school science teachers you get spotted 5 goals? Calvert's top 10 are no better than Boys Latin, Mcdough, Gilman, St Pauls, Loyola. Their (Calvert's) second 10 are. Their coaches are. Their systems are (apparently). The MIAA league is top notch as are all the teams in it. It looks like Calvert's coaches and systems are better and they have a lot more kids to work with and develop. Their teams from the past few years all played the same- intense and like they wanted to win. Thats not due to talent and size- that is some serious character that must come from the systems and coaches. You see the same thing in college sports.

"Calvert's top 10 are no better than Boys Latin, Mcdough, Gilman, St Pauls, Loyola" CH has 4 players from last year's that made the US U19 team. Another made it pretty far in the process. No other MIAA team had more than 1. It's safe to say their starting 10 was better. And their next 10 are better than any other 2nd 10.Great coaching staff and superior talent. I think it may level off a bit after this year. Could be more like Loyola in the 80s when they were in the finals every year but didn't win every year. And they other finalist would change year to year
