Thats the difference and you only get that by having huge numbers in your program. Age/holdbacks has been happening for 30 years and why it still comes up is mute. Every MIAA team has them. No advantage to any given team when they all have them. The same goes for recruiting in state or out of state players This league is so great because until now there has been 6-7 teams that are always in the championship mix. Very hard to win back to back and it is rare to win 3 straight.Going to be tough to beat them on this run but history shows it will happen. Many teams look to be very good this year and it should not be a surprise if things are shaken up at the top. Best of luck to all team

Lacrosse world has changed dramatically in last few years with the country getting smaller with more information overload and explosion of club lacrosse. Holdbacks have been around like you say, but now holdbacks are at epidemic levels. The amount of holdbacks in MIAA now is 2-3 more than many years pass and continues on. I wouldnt be surprised if in near future , very few players on lacrosse field will be on age in MIAA play.

CH has been ahead of all the rest of MIAA lacrosse teams. Unless BL or McD steps up and starts matching them, CH is the ruler for years to come. Gilman, St P still think like they are in the 80's. The rest dont have the resources at this time.

Now does that mean some MIAA team may have a good team and compete occasionally. Yes, But they will be playing CH for Championship year after year .
